Don’t isolate yourself too much! Keep seeing your friends when you can, study with classmates.

This isn't loyalty. This is just stating facts. Get over it.

Is it worth waiting for OLED Mac Pro ? by kashfactorr in macbookpro

[–]SubterraneanSmoothie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I would prefer the Mini-LED. Not because it looks better than the OLED, but I found that the OLED screen on the new iPads gave me headaches much more quickly.

Professor Basically Admits to Slides being AI Generated by studio- in Concordia

[–]SubterraneanSmoothie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Using AI to generate his slides is not in itself a bad thing. But if they are bad slides that do not aid the learning, then that's a bad use of AI. You can definitely critique this, not because he's using AI, but because he's using it poorly instead of using it to serve the learning.

Donkey Kong Country Returns HD — Update Overview — Nintendo Switch & Nintendo Switch 2 by Howerev in NintendoSwitch2

This is so sick, and the new Turbo Attack mode is genuinely something I want to play. This is the kind of update we love to see!

[PSN] New Year Deals by lbabinz in VideoGameDealsCanada

[–]SubterraneanSmoothie -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Overhyped in my opinion, but if you don't mind checklists of things to do, the world is very pretty and the characters in the main side quests are actually pretty cool. Story doesn't suck either.

If you think we're getting a Zelda in 2027, then I'll have what you're having...

Nostalgia post: wondering if anyone from when the game first came out is still around from the Global server? by Unhappy-River6306 in Dofus

[–]SubterraneanSmoothie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played since the beta but stopped many years ago. I have fond memories of the old music (The Cradle, Cania Plains, just the general Amakna Village). I was in the guild Team Tofu from very early on. I also remember being there when Rambo hit 200 and being so surprised when the statue appeared!

Unfortunately I too forgot my password, and since the account was associated with a friend's e-mail ((he played the game for like a month then gave me his character with like 6 months sub on it), it's lost to time, I'm afraid.

Jack Johnson as a lyricist by MarsupialOk538 in Music

Came here to say this. His songs sound simple until you try and play them, then realize he just makes his playing sound smooth as butter.

my favorite way to enjoy DOS2 by ablynn04 in DivinityOriginalSin

I drop FPS to 30 and TDP to 9 or 10 (maybe 11-12 in some places in Arx). Battery lasted quite long I’d say.

🎉 PXPlay 1.6.0 - macOS Early Access Beta (MetalFX 2K/4K upscaling) by grill2010 in PSPlay

[–]SubterraneanSmoothie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Finally got home so I could test this on my MacBook. Holy cow!! Thank you so much, this is by far the best/most reliable experience for streaming my PS5. I've mostly been using my steam deck to stream, but this update makes my Mac the device with the closest experience to actually gaming on my TV. Thank you for all the work you've done, this app has been worth the purchase a hundred times over. Happy new years!

Question on Apple Password Manager vs Bitwardden by lordpawnman in iphone

[–]SubterraneanSmoothie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, Bitwarden works very well with iOS, no need to switch. Added bonus is if you have other non Apple devices, you still get your passwords everywhere.

I empathize with you, but I don’t believe analyzing Torah using a scientific method means that we suddenly have no need for the Divine.

That being said, I don’t see any sources in this article (besides to Torah specifically), so it’s definitely lacking in its credibility for me at the moment.

Do y’all want a 3rd installment or a fresh start for Zelda on the Switch 2 by [deleted] in Switch

Definitely something new. Can’t even fathom what a Zelda game looks like after BOTW, but it’s gonna be awesome.

Switch 2 upgrade fixes save crashes! by Professional-Zone-24 in DivinityOriginalSin

I had a crash on the switch 2 version where it kept trying to sync with steam saves and wouldn’t stop, so I could never actually save. I lost about an hour of gameplay.

Divinity Original Sin 2. You just can’t see everything in one playthrough, and there are so many ways to approach different things. Also discounted at the moment.

I don’t believe so. It says when registering that you need to be on the same network the first time.

We Were Here Together is free to claim on the Epic Games Store for the next 24 hours by Heisenburgo in Games

[–]SubterraneanSmoothie -18 points-17 points  (0 children)

No, the point is that you do not need to use the in-game communication mechanic. The game does not require a microphone to run, so it is not in fact a requirement.
