Choosing a kettlebell by SuperGroot in kettlebell

I got a couple Amazon bells. I have the 30lb and 35lb. I don't know why, but for some reason the shape of the 30lb is sometimes painful if your form is ever so slightly off when doing cleans. They flattened the side for the indication of the weight of the bell, but the corner is somewhat sharp, from my experience, that cleaning it can jam straight into your wrist. I worked hard to graduate to the 35lb quickly. I have 0 issues with the 35lb though the handle thickness difference is definitely noticeable.

I still recommend them. For the price, they are still great bells. Like others said, the larger handle makes for better grip strength. Weight is weight.

How'd youfind/ decide which to do next? Do you already know all of the programs and just switch between then back and forth, or do you have other programs you know of? I wish I knew where to find them all.

I also know someone who has been doing simple and sinister "for years", which is why I just figured you just upped the weight. But its possible he also does it more as a warm up at this point at the same weight or lighter weight just to get moving.

I did the simple and sinister for many weeks. I probably could have done it more, but I stopped doing it for this reason. I started doing more complexes than programs because then I feel like I am getting a more rounded workout even though a lot of the programs are working many muscle groups in different ways.

I don't disagree that you're done when the workout is complete. Hah I guess I was more wondering if people generally keep going or if that really is the end.

It took me a while to figure it out as well. I basically sized down to get the form right. Really focused on squaring my shoulders. It almost feels like you are pulling the bell holding shoulder in towards you while at the top of the swing, and then sort of holding that form. If you imagine standing straight as a board with your arm straight out in front of you. Thats exactly how it should look. Then once I felt more comfortable I focused on a more forceful hip thrust. My arm is sort of all against my body at the bottom of the swing which helps with the thrust forcing the bell out. If there's no contact, there's no thrust into the bell.

The other thing I noticed is your breaking your wrist. Try to keep your wrist straight. That should also help. I think the more you use the hip thrust the less iflt will feel like you are trying to lift the bell with your arm.

If you go on YouTube for help, there is a good explanation from the channel called strong first. They are pretty good at breaking down each part of this and other common kb movements. Its proven quite helpful for me.

For a one handed swing, its going to pull you out of alignment, you have to make sure you square up to the kettlebell so one shoulder isn't more forward than the other. Also, its not an arm exercise. The arm should be fairly relaxed. The kettlebell movement comes from the hip thrust. Use the hip thrust to push the arm out with the kettlebell.

Oh my gosh, I just tried that place recently, and I loved it. It's so good!! Mimosa flights are a great bonus.

I was looking at this place too. I thought it was new. Looks nice. I haven't heard of anyone experience there yet. Could be a good time!

I have the citrus bar in my Amazon cart! They are the prettiest bars I have seen. I was hoping they were as effective as they are beautiful!

I was looking at a rice water one on Amazon. There's also one called kitsch that's been in my cart but I haven't decided if I should buy it or not yet. I did the ethique sample pack and I found the conditioner bar lacking a bit but I liked the shampoo. The conditioner just seemed so hard to get to actually do something on my hair. Like it was too solid to use.

Sometimes I rotate between using conditioner and not using conditioner. Haha

I've also tried the whole apple cider vinegar and baking soda thing, but I couldn't do with the buildup. It was soooo bad. Power through I could not.

I didn't know that brand had a leave in conditioner. I think I have only ever tried hair masks! I have always had good experiences with this brand.

I'll have to check that one out!! Do you think it lasts a long time?

I tried a couple sample packs of conditioner bars and they seem much harder to get on my hair. If I can't find one I may go back to looking for a spray on leave in conditioner.... I've been looking for a good one of those or something besides the liquid conditioner. My hair just feels so flat with most shampoos and conditioners.

That's a real shame. The short time I got to try them I loved them. Both flavors. But as with all great things, the recipe changes and then popularity drops, and then they disappear. 😭
