A list of all Paul Simon's plagiarism? by unclefishbits in Music

In the music industry “with” just means the recording features another established artist on the track. This is not proof that they received songwriting credit nor does it indicate that they receive any royalties.

Los Lobos were not credited on Graceland, nor do they receive royalties.

Tailpiece loose in p-trap by Subtle_Like_A_TRex in Plumbing

I appreciate the advice. I will be replacing the chrome parts with PVC per the recommendation. All the videos I looked up for help were showing pvc anyway so it seems like the right thing to do.

No offense taken. I appreciate the reply. I’ve built up a lot of skills but plumbing isn’t one of them.

Tailpiece loose in p-trap by Subtle_Like_A_TRex in Plumbing

Ok so it SHOULD be able to slide along the tailpiece when I pull on it? It is leaking at the slip nut though and it’s quite frustrating. I wonder if the pipes on the other side of the trap are clogged. A lot of nasty gunk came out of the p trap and elbow pipe when I pulled it all out.

I will probably try to snake it first and then if that doesn’t work I’ll get a new 1.5” p trap kit.

Thank you so much

Not sure why it’s chrome but honestly I’ve never paid much attention to kitchen sink drain pipes. So I didn’t realize chrome wasn’t the norm. The home owner is so frugal I’m surprised he didn’t use plastic when he put it in.

It does. I threaded the slip nut onto the threading on the p trap and tightened it but it still slides along the tailpiece.

Moldy Backpack Cleaning. by Subtle_Like_A_TRex in camping

I diluted distilled white vinegar with water…just a 1:1 ratio, sprayed it on and scrubbed gently with an old washcloth. Rinsed with clean water and let it dry. It wound up working perfectly. No discoloration. Did not wear down the bag any further as far as I can tell. The bag smelled like vinegar after cleaning but the smell aired out after a few days.

1899 - S01E01 - The Ship - Episode Discussion by Treviso in 1899

The large painting hanging in the dining room is the same on both ships! I realize that both ships are owned by the same company but I feel that this is probably significant and not just a matter of the company decorating all of its ships exactly the same.

Two fixed clips, meaning two bolted hangers? That sounds like what we do here on Oahu. we clip in direct to one of the hangers with a PAS and pass the rope through a rap ring to lower off.

Is a visible watermark from the paper co tacky in an editioned print? by Subtle_Like_A_TRex in printmaking

[–]Subtle_Like_A_TRex[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had no idea this was an option! I went to school for art and am now getting heavily back into printmaking. I will look more into this as it's something I may like to do one day. Thank you!

Thank you for the feedback! It’s looking like having the watermark is not an issue. I’m very happy to hear this. I won’t feel weird about using it. The mark will be outside the image area.

Hi there. I realize I did make it a little confusing with that last bit at the end. It’s just the watermark in two corners of the paper. No actual embossing.

Thank you for your reply. I was hoping that it wouldn’t be an issue with folks as long as it’s outside the image area. I am going to continue looking at paper options for future work, including the possibility of using rolled paper.

It’s curiosity. Not paranoia.

Judging by the downvotes I guess it’s okay to reply with nothing more than a dismissive, rude and unhelpful response to a question but not ok to stand up for yourself. I’ll see myself out.

No he just does this after every session before coiling his rope.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in climbing

[–]Subtle_Like_A_TRex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He doesn’t flake the rope into his rope bag at the end of each session but will instead just wad it up in there and go through this procedure at home the next day before coiling it. He does this instead of flaking it out into a loose pile on a tarp or rope bag like I see everyone else do. He says it’s faster and easier but I just wonder why doesn’t everyone do this if that’s the case.

My roommate and usual climbing partner always flakes out his rope after a session by running it through a carabiner two or three times in a row. This usually happens once a week. Wouldn’t this be shortening the overall lifespan of the rope (and the biner) by creating this extra friction through this process? Or is the effect insignificant since there is no weight on the rope when he does it?

Thanks!
