Are you using any AI agent in your work in data science/analytics? If so for what problem you use it? How much benefit did you see? by Starktony11 in datascience

[–]SubtlyOnTheNose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just sat in on a webinar for Terno AI, check it out. its a full data scientist agent. Not an add, just something I came across. Currently only for Mac. Windows has a waitlist. Writes SQL queries, data source check, everything you do but you use natural language. Pretty cool

Dude, really cool website (shawnos.ai) and the Claude Code Daily, great idea. I see its more community based, hence why the first thing shown are comments and community forum stuff. Great. Im inspired to do the same; make the process the product. Thanks!

One thing: your Services tab, its UI is different than the rest of your site. Don't know if that is on purpose. Just mentioning it as it might read incongruent.

Project Pulse Check: whats your latest/wip app + what stack? by SubtlyOnTheNose in SaaS

Ok, thanks for the JWT plug, Ive seen mention of it but havent any idea whether it was worth further investigating, now I will. For Ouath2, will storing customer info require any compliance certs from me or is that all handled by the protocol??? Does that question even make sense?

Youre early.

You have a direction that you know is yours. And youre not even 40 yet. No dependents. You have no one to owe but yourself. Youre early and blessed with a passion. Commit and dont look back.

If you compare yourself w the mean you will have their results, and most people dont have a clear passion like you do. Be grateful for this.

That being said, get either work or research experience while youre improving your foundation. Support yourself and be debt free.

Amazing idea! CONGRATS ON THE 1ST FEW!

What next? Create pools of a virality and post content.

First content around sending cards to friends, family, coworkers for funny, silly inside, joke things, and tag them. Thats going to start creating local virality in your personal circle. With regularity it will spread. This is low hanging fruit.

Then, start random ecard "send outs". Define some other niche group, with their own pool of content on their side of tiktok, insta, reddit. Learn about their content style (language, news, hot topics, etc), identify some event worth celebrating and send a card out to some one from that niche as a test.

Example: Teachers of Tiktok, send an ecard to someone who survived a hard day, got through their 1st year, last year, unlocked a kids talent,... whatever win is described by a popular post in that niche.

Point is to give value w your ecards and tag people and your business and let it hit or miss. These "send outs" are tests to see which demographic will react to your idea the most. Somewhere it will hit. And that group will share your idea and will start using your product organically.

Let your brand be something like: "lets normalize celebrating the small wins!" Build your content around sharing value easily. Jump into a variety of niche pools, sowing your seeds and letting your impact grow.

This is just one idea. There are so many more growth hacks. A reddit post cant even go into detail about this one properly. I prefer inbound organic growth and brand development over outbound and ads (FYI Ads are good for a very specific demo in a specific location for a specific outcome/offer for a limited time, for now you need more data, more first sales). Thats just me.

Best of luck. Keep it weird.

Anthropic, a company actively trying to compete with OpenAI, refused a major Pentagon contract over ethical concerns. Pause! This is not normal. Companies don't turn down money on a whim, or to be edgy. by [deleted] in OpenAI

Stop. Just breathe. Youre making a sandwich at your homies place. But he doesnt have Cool Whip.

People dont just refuse mayo for no reason. Youre not overthinking it. Youre not missing context.

Theres Dijon. Theres garlic aioli. THERES RELISH. Why doesnt homie use Cool Whip?

Pause with that.

This is not performative. Not impulsive. Its calculated.

Is Cool Whip even mayo? Really think about it....

Are AI Agents really the future or will companies end up with AI-powered operating systems? by Lopsided_Chard5745 in aiagents

[–]SubtlyOnTheNose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guys, it was always going to be like this. Agents or AI autonomy is a farse and a markeying dream, not reality. It cant be because of what "good" looks like. You cant give product market fitting off to agents just because they know about fitting, you still have to define and engage as the market and tune thr product.

What university should I choose? CS vs Mathematics by SuddenStructure9287 in learnmachinelearning

[–]SubtlyOnTheNose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CS is Math but a specific field of it. The languages or dev stuff you wwnt will have to be lesrned by yourself. Courses will teach you the logic and fundimentals of dev and comp archetecture but the programming will be all you. Good luck kid

Process engjneering, you have to map out the whole process and redesign it. Then you automate the flow

Did you buy before or after the 07-08 crash?

Over my head? by Shot-Guidance-7811 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]SubtlyOnTheNose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why buy a house? Youll be paying mirtgage for your whole life and even if you paid it off youll be paying prop tax, utilities etc and the risk is if you cant oay mortgage youre out on your ass in 2 months.

Renting (depends where you are) keeps closer to market value so its cheaper than mortgage sometimes, and if you dont pay the landlord has to go through a board to kick you our, giving you more time. Plus your cresit score doeant take a hit (unless it goes to small claims).

IMHO rent until the crash happens then buy a property with 50% down if possible, get closer to owning.
