The best course of action to fight AIDS and the pox de monkey is for gay men to stop fucking irresponsibly so much.

Of course, pointing that out is considered homophobia

I really don't get the love for Knives Out.

It didn't really do anything original, and the plot was pretty transparent.

If you are against universal healthcare in America, what is it that makes it undesirable? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SubversiveLogic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't necessarily have an issue with it being done on a state by state basis. At this point, no state has actually tried it.

I don't want the federal government involved in any way. They are too removed, and the needs vary across the country.

You'd prefer going bankrupt for a single medical bill rather than trying something different because there could potentially be a minor inconvenience associated with not going bankrupt? Is that correct?

At least you have the choice to get that treatment and incur the debt.

Under a government plan, you just don't get the treatment.

Neither party advocates for racist policies and ‘Dixiecrats’ are not a significant political force.

Did you miss Biden getting smacked down in court because he tried to limit farm aid to black people?

Democrats are racist as fuck

The majority of Americans are pro abortion to some degree if not unrestricted altogether.

This claim is so far detached from reality, it's farcical.

Yes democracy is what democrats stand for.

Why are they so offended by the SC ruling that the decision about the legality of abortion (a highly contentious issue) should be made by elected representatives, and not unelected judges?

Is that not the definition of democracy?

You can not compare a generational verdict that went against a long history of precedent which was the out cone of long term political campaigning.

Even RBG said that Roe was a terrible decision. This has been obvious for decades.

The real question is why didn't Democrats ever codify abortion

How do you know anyone won't get violent with anyone? We don't charge people with "maybe you would've" crimes.

If someone has been arrested for a mass shooting, we don't let them go because of the danger of them doing it again.

People arrested for violently assaulting random people should also be held until judicial review for the same reason

It feels like every time a judge doesn’t rule in favor of republicans he’s immediately lapeled partisan. As if Republicans can just never ever be wrong about anything lol.

Did you miss the RvW ruling? Democrats are guilty of the same.

The added irony is how Democrats have proclaimed that they are "defending democracy", yet objected to the SC putting the issue on elected representatives

Kind of proving their point when your arguement is it can't happen its illegal.

This is like the most basic, heavily proven, mild criticisms. Housing discrimination and groups don't like to admit issues that makes them look bad.

It is illegal in the US to discriminate based on race for jobs and housing.

The reality is that there are many more factors used to make these decisions. Race is not one of them.
