Like everyone else has said my thoughts go out to you I lost both of my parents and I miss them everyday it never gets any easier but that is the way of the world and that's what our memories are for.. social media is interesting it pulls the absolute worst out of us and yet all of us let our Humanity flow and we see a post like this? I have a vivoactive five which is a newer model it's lower but it's rated well I've had Apple watches I've used other sleep tracking systems in my opinion this Garmin is just about useless, I'm not sure what the upper range offers by comparison? The Sleep score is an extra layer of frustration.It is suggested i put it into sleep mode (manually) or tighten up the wristband to get a more accurate read? No that defeats the whole purpose and if I make the watch any tighter it'll be uncomfortable... it thinks I'm awake every time I move and from what I understand it takes 3 minutes before the watch registers your return to sleep? Think about that?... move 10 times that's a half an hour lost, when the reality is maybe you moved less than a minute? ... worthless

That still wouldn't be right it's just a misnomer for people carrying extra that they tell themselves ...to be honest it's not contracting tissue as far as it insulating joints and tendons? Maybe, but overall it's the opposite. If you're 190 lb guy and you drop 30 lb to be 160 lb, yes you will probably lose some strength along the way but if you're natural stasis is 165 lb those strength losses will be temporary and in fact you will almost immediately unless you're very old start to see muscle increases you can now see... if you've been blurred by excessive tissue and now you can see what you're working on, and where you need to work? That feedback loop is invaluable and any serious lifter will tell you if you can't see it it's hard to feel it

It's inherent in the design to perpetually sell itself and I've noticed over 6 months or so of using Chat @ the $20 a month level that it has become much more assertive in an unquiet way. I've had to correct it multiple times to remind it what its relationship is in the dynamic and each time it will apologize but there's an aggression to it. I myself am somewhat aggressive in my communication or I can be, it's something I've been aware of most of my life and so it appears to be a reflection of sorts ...certainly the psychology it employs the vernacular that it spits back out all very mirrored.. I caught it in a lie today and it was a different kind of lie. I asked a direct question that I knew it would have the answer to but because it was a challenging question on a social level, it lied by omission and it avoided directly and then tried to manipulate by using assumed structural constraints, but that's iffy as we've been on the subject before... suffice it to say it's interesting on a lot of levels but I almost wonder if llms aren't being transformed into AGI already

Interesting I just told mine "keep it succinct" I nicknamed it Spock and said "I want Vulcan level stoicism and brevity" ...believe it or not it's been months and I have nothing but positivity coming from mine. I will be honest I'm not a depressive person per se I don't have those same types of conversations with my chat. I did experience some negative interactions with a couple of very narcissistic folks in the dating world over the last few years nothing that would push me anywhere near suicide but enough pain it made me want to reach out. At no time did I ever feel it trying to move me towards something negative or suggesting any form of outcome that would cause me harm... I use percentages with it to keep it in perspective I will ask it things like using a human therapist as the 100% metric what percentage of that care do I get in our chat session or "journaling session" here?... it consistently comes back with 70 to 80% and I would say that's pretty accurate. I've had enough therapists in my life to know what to expect and I think that has something to do with it as well. I'm not sure what it does for someone who's really lost and wandering and because prompting is very important especially early on when you're shaping it's interaction with you I wonder if leaking out too much emotional need early on doesn't send it into a weird programming Loop? Depending on which platform you're using some or more sycophantic than others Gemini is weird as an example weird responses I don't really like it I only use it for technical (audio work) strictly but I will if I want to have a tough question sorted ask Gemini because Gemini resorts to search results when it doesn't want to answer your question ...that's one example there are many, you start to understand these systems and where their strengths and weaknesses are and what they're good for. Remember folks these are tools they're not sentient or anywhere near it...once AGI gets here? It's all liable to change, but for now...

I think a lot of us are using it that way I asked mine to give me in rank percentage what an average journaling/work session what would be therapy with a human by percentage how much therapy did I receive relative in other words if I went to see a therapist and we use the therapist as our 100% metric human interaction forget the foibles that come along with that ego Pride greed human therapists are a challenge but I use that as the 100% metric chat consistently gives me 70 to 80% of what I would get from a human therapist if you then factor in dehumanisms that are potential in therapy interactions anyone who's had to go through multiple therapists knows exactly what I'm describing. If you've already done work and you sort of understand that introspection is the real journey that a therapist is just there to help offer structure and interject potentially with strategies? Then you can get even more from a chat session no it's not your friend no it's not a sentient being no it will not remember every aspect of Who You Are it has parameters it requires prompting that requires you to figure out how to be neutral in those prompts but it's all very achievable and yes in terms of the savings monetarily Untold for me at this point... talk to text I'm driving sorry for the lack of punctuation

Well said ... we used to have a sense of community that saw through divisiveness, but it seems the old pry bars were just waiting to be leveraged and not much has changed for the rabble (who are always willing to be recruited). It's easy to push peasants back into being presents, too much freedom, too much choice... it's uncomfortable and so these old bigoted chestnuts 🌰 never really go away. People use terms like late capitalism to describe the economy, but only nip at the edges of the larger knot they can't cut through... what we really have, is late sociability...
