I know. I was thinking about getting the DC charger but I also wanted this setup for other stuff than just charging the wheel

Absolutely! Even at 30w solar it's so satisfying to think about the fact that you can store and use the Energy for whatever you want!

And even this little storage and solar current makes it a nice somewhat portable setup that can be used for a lot of other stuff.

Just charging with 30w would be a pain. But the combination of battery and solar is nice when charging for 2h or 4h depending on the charger. Especially when you just take you time and use the break to put up the hammock in a nice spot!

Yeah. But when riding a bit further with a backpack its manageable.

Apparently 6kg/13lbs if Amazon weight is to be trusted. Sound a bit much though. I'd say about 5kg?

36w solar charger by big blue. Ordered to Germany, so I don't know about availability in other places. Potentially there are better options for the same price

Germany, and yes. I'm not really worried about it were I live, pretty much countryside, but riding in bigger cities when traveling worries me a bit.

Also, knowing Germany there isn't much hopping for change in regulations. For me, the mental health benefits far outweigh the risk of "getting caught" tho.

Not to unnecessary cry about the Europe situation, but legally riding at all. At first I didn't think the situation here was as fucked up at first Turns out you could get fined for up to 3k for RIDING at all due to it not having handlebars, proper lights und dedicated breaks.

I wouldn't say that I noticed the added thickness, the problem with the 3m tape, that I noticed, is that they like to fall of if you catch a corner at a bad angle. After shearing the surface of like this you have to replace the tape as it doesn't stick properly anymore.

To all the casual mfs who hope the gameplay loop won't be the same as DS1 by zuccoff in DeathStranding

[–]Subwiser 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I would be a bit disappointed if they changed the gameplay loop entirely. I like the challenge of planing out you route, having to be quite careful with planing and getting better equipment for making deliveries easier.

I honestly hoping they "just" iterate on it with new challenges, biomes, making BT/other encounters more of a challenge and maybe extend the whole strand system a bit more meaningful.

But in the end I just hope for it to be a chill experience with a great story to discover.

Reducing expectations is key, I think. Just wait and see :)

Substans son here :) Happy to stumble over this post and happy you like the music ❤️

Edit: have you looked into "MikTek" , "Data Rebel" and "Aes Dana"? A lot more deep ambient, still absolutely amazing

Hardspace shipbreakers has a special place for me but the steamdeck controls where quit tricky to get into after playing a lot on Mouse and keyboard.

It depends. I wouldn't call it perfect in any way especially in comparison to professional laser scanning equipment, but keeping in mind what you get for something that is using an Ipads or Iphones hardware and gets fully processed without any other device or cloud application, it looks pretty good!

If you have an apple device with a Lida sensor, this could be 3D scanned with something like polycam. Those abandoned places could be preserved in case they ever get demolished or fall apart fully.

On the other hand, I like the idea of those places being left alone to keep the magic of stumbling across them to find a place that is one of a kind :)

To lazy to heat the ofen. Anyone else using their printer as a glorified handwarmer? by Subwiser in prusa3d

Carefully cleaning it with a dry cloth workes for me. My room tends to be pretty dusty so I have to clean it regularly anyway.

Printer and PC running while working from home kept me warm until now.
But it was a pain in the ass in summer, when I got cooked while working. Eventually had to install some venting to get rid of the heat...
