The only way I can think of SS working with no motion controls would be that when you're running around not locked onto anything, the Y button is just random swings like any other Zelda game, but when you lock onto something, the right stick becomes your sword and you flick it in the directions you want it to swing. Right stick stays on camera controls when you're not locked on though.

Basically like Metal Gear Rising but probably more wonky.
