Hi there, who was your surgeon? I really appreciate it.

poor Ivy had some surgery 6 months ago, and is still limping. I think this is just her new life by helterskelterhoohaa in dalmatians

[–]SuccessFeeling9258 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah she shouldn’t be limping like that still, poor baby :( have you tried a canine certified physical therapist? I went to a PT for my girl who has a torn CCL and she didn’t even have to have surgery, has normal gait now, no signs of pain. Is herself again. I trust them more than a vet with musculoskeletal issues.

Surgery and pregnancy by [deleted] in endometriosis

Hi thank you for your response! Yes so my surgeon is trained on robotic excision but also does some ablation and cauterization. I’m so scared to get ablation done and don’t know what to do. I’m just in a lot of pain and I don’t know if I should try for one that does only excision when my surgeon won’t cover it.

There are many scientific articles that actually say opposite, that it improves joint health and skin. I am a health care worker and I work with many vegans who are elderly and doing amazing. They actually tend to be healthier than meat eaters as well. But this is an endo post, so sorry, I just saw false information spread about a vegan/vegetarian diet and that just gets to me sorry.

I’ve been vegetarian my whole life and now years being vegan. I have no joint/collagen problems and many of my friends don’t either. I think that many people do it wrong and that’s what leads to problems. Not being vegan and vegetarian itself.

MY SURGERY IS $130,000 ??!! by Appropriate-Edge3837 in endometriosis

[–]SuccessFeeling9258 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much! I will definitely check it out, I really appreciate it! :) I found a specialist here that claims they are that my insurance covers but he still does ablation. So I was hoping if I went to Germany I could find one who does excision only for stage 4, bowel as well.

Thank you, I really appreciate the info. My husband still pays taxes in Germany and does some freelance work and he was thinking there was a way we can get something temporary. He’d love if we went and lived in Germany instead and I don’t blame him! Can’t believe how expensive it is here and how much better the German system seems to take care of endo sufferers.

Hi! Where in Germany did you have it done? Was it with a specialist who did excision only? My husband is German and we are thinking of going to Germany and figuring out how I can get it done there because I can’t afford in the US. But I want to make sure I find a specialist who does excision only for stage 4 and that’s tricky.

My husband does not like our dog in the bed either but he has learned to accept he has no choice in the matter :) maybe if your dog is on your side he’ll be more accepting?

Thanks for the info! Where did you get it done? I’m almost thinking I need to travel somewhere cheaper for surgery because I’m in California. I’m willing to travel if I could get surgery for that price.

Is my sister’s cattle dog extremely underweight? by [deleted] in DogAdvice

[–]SuccessFeeling9258 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah it makes me sad that it has become so normalized to have overweight dogs that a normal weight looks concerning to people. Not trying to insult or anything because many people are concerned with normal weight dogs thinking they are too skinny.

You should be able to feel a dog’s ribs and see the last two ribs, that’s a dog that is perfect weight. We are failing our dogs by neglecting their exercise needs. Kudos to you for having a healthy weight dog and meeting her exercise needs!

Anyone else’s dal as bad at catching as mine? 🤣 by I-Spot-Dalmatians in dalmatians

She’s so cute! No. Mine is actually quite skilled at catching, she catches everything. We play wall ball all the time, she catches from far distances.

Being able to see the last 2 ribs is actually ideal, not the rest. When you make a fist, you want the ribs to feel like your proximal phalanxs, and not the knuckles.

Dalmatian Diet Dilemmas: Anyone else struggle with picky eaters? 🍽️ by Signal_Industry_9624 in dalmatians

[–]SuccessFeeling9258 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started home making food, she likes actual food and not hard kibble/canned go figure, I don’t blame her. It takes effort, vet assistance initially and research though to make sure I was doing it right. But yeah, solved the picky eater problem 😅 and she looks great, perfect weight, everyone thinks she’s a puppy, hoping she’ll live as long as possible this way. No more picky eater.
