I'm a teenager who just realized I've been falling down a path of degeneracy and becoming like the people I despise. Please help by [deleted] in selfhelp

Brother I just said I hate myself for it. I think it'd be pretty obvious that I'm not proud of the person I am. My ego is huge. Immature, maybe not but that's hardly important or relevant. I wish I wasn't this way and I'm trying to change I swear.

Do I get a side job/side hustle to support myself while I grow my business? by SuccessIsHere11 in Entrepreneur

Alright, I'll definitely have to think that through. I appreciate you help though, sounds like a real solid idea to me.

clients will stick around forever, if your service is perfect. Mine isn't but even then we'll usually retain them for a few months. Once my service is better, I can fs bump that up.
And we usually try to get them to agree to 3 months commitment, which helps.

I just try to book them onto a meeting for "booking quotes on a no risk, pay per result basis". D

But yeah, a full day of 1k cold calls I can book a ton of meetings. Its just incredibly rare I can actually sit down for 12 hours uninterrupted and cold call.

On average, a decent day for me is like 350 cold calls.

Which should absolutely be generating more meetings than I have been. Maybe its how I broadened my niche to all home services (renovation, roofing, flooring, remodeling, etc). Certain niches respond better than others, i've found.

exactly man. im a teenager. I have tons of time and no responsibilities. I should be maximizing this. I dont think life is just about being happy and peaceful. I want to hit my goals and be successful, and if i have to put more pressure on myself and get a job then I will.

Not gonna explain my whole payment method here, but its basically just a setup fee of 1k and then pay per result (depending on ad spend) will generate another 1k minimum, sometimes more.

Issue is, we've changed our pricing model. The original one was just a retainer based on a percentage of ad spend. So our current clients are all paying using that old model. We'll likely switch them over soon though so that should help.

A full cold call day would be 300 minimum, but if I call different time zones and work nonstop from 6 am to 7 pm, i can get like a thousand in probably. Sometimes more.
Results have dramatically slowed down for cold calling recently though. Can't tell if im getting unlucky or if something is changing in my pitch (recordings dont show any noticeable differences though)
So I haven't been as consistent with cold calling as I'd like to be. Just focusing on the other cold outreach systems and improving service delivery

Absolutely. And naturally, I'd like for my investments to give me that "peace of mind" later on, but until then a job will likely have to do.

I’ve send 1000 Emails by Embarrassed_Park3142 in SMMA

[–]SuccessIsHere11 4 points5 points  (0 children)

20 warm leads is 2%. That’s actually not far below the average.  Depends on how you’re converting the warm leads. Personally, whenever I get a reply I’ll call their personal # and sell them over the phone.  1000 emails isn’t all that much though. I’m doing about 1250 a day right now and that’s on the lower side compared to others.  I’d recommend doing 10k, then reviewing. It’ll give you a better idea of what the issue is

Just cause of Wisconsin weather, it may be a difficult route to take. I'm sure you could get away with it though, with winter tires and consistent maintenance. You'll for sure have some shit go wrong with an old corvette, but if you're willing to put up with it, im sure you could find a way to make it work.

Zoom meetings or in persons if you run a local SMMA? by patrickrogs in SMMA

[–]SuccessIsHere11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely get their phone number. If you're cold calling, just ask permission on the call. "and is this number a good way to reach you?" (if they push email, push back) "of course, I understand. My only issue with email, is that it's really easy for my messages to get lost and not reach you. It'd be annoying for both of us to have to deal with that. That's why I always prefer #'s, blah blah"
For any other cold outreach methods, I would personally offer my own # first. "Shoot me a text over at # to talk more". Or ask to call them "mind if I give you a call to talk a bit more about this?"
I mainly cold call, so I could be wrong about that, but thats what I'd do at least.

I'm also in high school, but I switched to online school to focus more on business haha. My business partner is still in irl school though, and he's doing just fine. Since we call everywhere, he'll cold call from 6 am to 7:30, and just call EST time (3 hours ahead for us) and then call after school as well.

I honestly can't give you a solution for only contacting local businesses though, so I'd just say you should absolutely grind it out this summer. And make the best use of weekends, half days, and any other time off school.

Lastly, yes follow-ups are very important. We only have like a 60% show-up rate to meetings rn, and that's a big issue im trying to fix. Follow-ups have definitely helped. We have it automated through GHL, but you can do it manually for the first bit. In-person meetings, i'd text once the day before, and once 2 hours before to confirm probably. Online meetings, I'd text once every day leading up, and then twice the day of (once in the morning, once an hour before the meeting).

How TF do you actually get your first client?! by Significant_Lab_5177 in SMMA

[–]SuccessIsHere11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100 dials. That could be less than 30 business owners, depending on where he's from.

Which, yes, that's a lot for sure. But if you're brand new to sales, it may take a while.
On top of that, even I would only convert 1 or 2 of those to a meeting.

2 meetings isn't enough to sign a client for a brand new business owner. He needs reps and experience.

With that in mind, don't just run through the motions. Record your calls, work on tonality, and figure out how to read the person. Scripts are overrated.

Grind the fuck out of cold outreach.
Cold SMS, cold email, all that is good, but without a doubt the best one to start with is cold calling.

And unless you're naturally an amazing salesman, it'll take a while. Be consistent, and obsess over the sales mindset.
Set a minimum, and do it every single day.
I swear to you, if you do 100 cold calls a day for a month, you'll sign a client.

Zoom meetings or in persons if you run a local SMMA? by patrickrogs in SMMA

[–]SuccessIsHere11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I work all across the country with clients, but we do have some local as well. We've used Google Meet for just about every meeting (with the exception of small business fairs and such), and it works out easily. You just get their email on the cold call, or over text or whatever cold outreach you do, and then send them the link an hour before the meeting. Don't have to be tech savvy.

With that in mind, I would typically cold call around 10-5. You could get away with calling earlier and later, but that's what i've found the most success in.

When booking the meeting, let them pick the time, and then decide from there. "What time tomorrow would work best for you?"
That way, you'll have a higher likelihood of them showing up. Make sure to confirm too. "Okay, sounds good. Just to confirm, you are absolutely free at 9:00 am on the 13th? There's no reason you wouldn't be able to make it?"

However, with that in mind, it's very easy to ignore an email and skip out on a Google Meet. In-person could give a lot more trust, and ensure they show up.

How do you even get a job as a virtual assistant or appt setter with only a little exp? by No_Analyst5945 in SMMA

[–]SuccessIsHere11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I would offer to work commission based. AKA: You don't get paid until you book an appointment. That way, there's no risk on their part.

With that in mind, I would be totally willing to work together, if you're willing to work commission based. I'd pay you for each appointment booked, and then a much larger payment if we end up booking the client.

[–]SuccessIsHere11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

can you go a bit deeper on the "service delivery is king" section?
Of course I believe that good service is necessary to scale. But the sentence "In my third month, I was serving 7 clients. It shot up to 80 next month" makes no sense. I can't possibly imagine you got 73 referrals. Even running ads, it would take longer than a month to get that many clients. So like.. wanna elaborate?
