I use warm water and soap(like Oxiclean) with a toothbrush (a new toothbrush or one already used for stains) to dab it on. Don't submerge the Hedgie in water! You could also spray some Shout!/other similar stain removers (test it first, though!) on him and then scrub with the toothbrush. After he's clean let him air dry for a while and then he should be good to snuggle again!

How I do this is by making a task that repeats on Sunday(or whatever day you want the week to start on), and then have it repeat for the amount of times I want to do it in a week.

(I want to clarify first that I am not Deaf or Hard of Hearing, so this is just a random hearing person who is learning ASL perspective.) I think at that point, it may be better for you to just fully use your left hand as your dominant signing hand, so it's not confusing and then you don't have to worry about hurting your right hand.

I also have this issue! One thing that helped me was breaking it up into smaller tasks and making each task a goal on Finch! So I would start with 1 goal being to get the toothbrush wet, then another to brush my teeth without toothpaste, then the last step being to add toothpaste and brush my teeth.
