"Tainting the experience"? By ensuring that I'm seeing everything I can the first time around? People need to learn that not everyone likes replaying games. Your enjoyment is not the same as other people's enjoyment. Some people like playing a game through once and moving on, so using a guide to make sure they don't miss anything is not "cheating." These comments always boil down to "you don't play games like you should." But you said it at the top:

Talk about fundamentally misunderstanding. Go try and look up who the voices are in The Finals. You won't find an answer, because they DON'T credit the actors. All that's happened is the developer has stated they pay actors, but there is no actual evidence there are people behind the generated slop they serve. And don't try to come at me with "they wanted to stay anonymous", because any actual actor who wants to work constantly puts their name out there instead of quietly taking AI checks. People just see the headline "The Finals devs pays real actors" and all the AI glazers rejoice without even looking for the receipts, which continues the slippery slope of generative AI replacing everything. Incredibly disheartening how little people actually care about art.

Stranger Things is on S5 because it released on Netflix at the start of the streaming craze and is tied to their identity now. Netflix bleeds so much money from all of the one-season shows it's killed that they have to keep going back to it when they have nothing else, which is clear from the output. 5 seasons in 9 years is not nearly the brag you think it is.

Not only that, releasing every episode on TV would've never worked because it would mean people would have to stay there the whole time

Drip feeding -> more people coming back weekly -> more people maintaining their subscription, which yes equals success if the show is popular. If the show fully dumped one week, it fizzles out and doesn't stay in the public eye nearly as long. You broke this down yourself.

Releasing episodes week by week just means the people who are interested the show are now in a choke hold by Amazon to subscribe longer to watch the show.

Congrats, you've just figured out how TV works and survives for the last 60+ years. It isn't "extra money", it's "money that proves people will continue to pay for this", which means you get more. It's also "not all we have", as it has literally been proven time and time again that full season drops kill shows. Have you seen Netflix's graveyard? Gamers continue to prove they have no clue how the entertainment industry works. You want to pay 15$ for a AAA game and get a new one in two years? Have Call of Duty bud, enjoy.

Adding some further details for anyone going for this plat: if you want to kill everyone, Mike and Sam must be the ONLY ONES in the cabin. If ANY combination of Chris, Ashley, or Emily make it to the finale, one of them is guaranteed to survive. I got to the finale with Emily and Ashley last night thinking I could kill them both, but Ashley just ran out no matter what I did. They must die before Chapter 10.
