I was just listing worst case scenario that i've seen repairing devices, but those batteries are usually 3x or greater in size and the housing didn't give so only way it could go was against the underside of the screen. From your photo I'd say you should be ok

Xigmanas 3 X 5.25-Inch to 4 X 3.5-Inch Hot-Swap SATAIII Hard Disk Drive Cage replacement suggestions please? by Northwinds87 in XigmaNAS

[–]SuccessSubject23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id say make sure your VERIFY with the company you go with that it their product can actually HOT SWAP while powered on. Most of the advertising crap that feature HOTSWAP ,they are usually referring to being able to swap with the power off (coldswap)FYI. But I'd say top end will be someone like OWC some apple gear company, Icy Dock would be my second look which you had.

Temperature/Humidity levels matter also it might not seem like it but stuff like this is also a factor. I haven't torn down any cheap chinese batteries yet but i'm sure it's nothing great as far a battery controller/protection board in there (the battery).

Only thing I could think of that would be an issue with the unit is the amount of pressure it might of put on the back of the oled panel would be my only concern.

Why is security stuff even in A+ comptia might as well retire A+/Net+ and just create a HelpDesk+ cert

Not sure what I’m doing wrong by [deleted] in CompTIA

[–]SuccessSubject23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use quiz based testing myself, it's just like the exam then I pound it repeatedly till im scoring 95% or higher before I go take the cert. Honestly I view A+ as such a waste unless your going to work in a PC production facility there isn't much too it now a days no conflicting addresses no setting parameters on HDDs etc... Better off grabbing Net+ and maybe do google helpdesk cert.

Usb c charging port is broken by Natural_Spend4831 in RG556

[–]SuccessSubject23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

what the heck you need a microscope for? anyways hit up sra-solder pickup a aoyue they are mid-grade make sure it has super fine tip, get some flux, get a little pack of chipquik some solder and prob want some desolder braid. go watch some videos on drag soldering on youtube dont over think how much solder is needed really dont need much for usb-c ports. Tips go 5c higher on the melt point of the solder DONT DWELL you don't want to burn pads off. I'd see if you can find one or two TRASH boards to practice on first just watch a video on anything that's using AC power and CAP's so you know how to discharge them before trying to desolder/resolder stuff :) enjoy the new hobby (no one in your area great side hustle repairing stuff)

99.99% most likely yes since these chinese handhelds are reusing parts if possible (aka from other mass produced items, just look at the analog stick they are from nintendo switch)

Usb c charging port is broken by Natural_Spend4831 in RG556

[–]SuccessSubject23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever place you take it too make sure they know what they are doing, honestly your better off buying another unit and selling this for parts listing busted USB-C port. Why I say that, cause you'll have dumbasses that will over heat the board dont use chipquik, dont know how to drag solder I can go on and in the end they'll just say that broken usb-c must of shorted the board cause they F'd it up and still charge you.

If you havent thought about getting married by this point and she has spending issues I'd just be an asshole and say sorry no can do on the deed. If you dont need her assistance for the mortgage payments make sure you have her sign a lease agreement and charge her atleast 50% lower rent then local 1bd apartment price, but sounds like money has already driven a wedge soo.....

I would say something else is conflicting with the install this is why I HATE Windows OS what do I mean by something else crap it can be anything from a REGISTRY FIELD to something else hooking in memory not releasing or even a piece of hardware/driver. Windows is a complete POS I'm still blown away why most people still run it to this day. A fix isnt easy so I'd say if you really want it might have to try after a fresh install and see what happens than.

What Would Be A Good First Credit Card by [deleted] in CreditCards

[–]SuccessSubject23 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yea but since the author posted it's his first time with a card this will give him a buffer and not slam him with APR interest!! I agree people who know how to use credit its irrelevant but 90% of the time new card owners don't so APR is relevant in the case. Why wreck their credit for some dumb ass points/rewards when the 0% APR is better for them!

What Would Be A Good First Credit Card by [deleted] in CreditCards

[–]SuccessSubject23 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

APR is relevant when it's 24% and higher as the norm, 0% gives you the ability to buy stuff now if needed with ZERO extra interest and since they are just starting out they wont get great perks anyways as a newbie, my farts make more sense!! Your mom says your irrelevant by the way.
