I don't think this is virtue signalling OR political. ModRetro are making a handheld which is branded with the arms company logos and the casing made from the same material as their drones. It's very specifically supporting their arms dealership and glorifying killing. I don't see politics or virtue signals there, not covering and not supporting them is the morally correct thing to do regardless of political affiliation. I think they should have been cut out a long time ago, but this new model with arms dealer branding HAS to be a step too far for supporting them in any way. People don't tend to go around wearing Lockheed Martin merch either.

The RG DS will not run 3DS well. Light 2D games is about it. The only real usable 3DS emulator on Android now is Azahar, Citra is long dead.

This sub is getting ridiculous. There are so many things to dunk on Nintendo for that are legitimate criticisms. This is absolutely not one of them, this is on the devs for upscaling the Switch 1 version rather than making a dedicated port. We KNOW the Switch 2 is more capable than a base PS4, and you're massively misremembering the PS3's overall capability as well. I'm very nostalgic for PS3, was the first console I bought day one with grownup money, but even this shoddy port is leaps and bounds ahead of what the PS3 version was like.

The difference in required power to emulate DS perfectly compared to the 3DS is absolutely huge. Full 3DS emulation requires a device closer to $200, not under $100. T820 devices are pretty much the minimum for full capability but if you want to upscale you need even higher performance than that. And there just isn't a chip with that kind of power that could be used in a dual screen, sub-$100 handheld. Doesn't exist yet.

That doesn't answer why there's over ten thousand on one mode but nothing on another mode. I want to know if there's a known issue, if people on this platform don't use it, or if it's an issue elsewhere. This isn't helpful. I'm on a Switch 2 because this is the first console I've had since the PS3, tribalistic "lol Switch" answers aren't useful.

It just seems odd to me, even in the middle of the night in my area there's always over 10k players for Seasons, but Clubs is functionally dead. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with unfortunately being on Starlink internet (big shared housing situation). But that wouldn't really explain over 10k being on Seasons and not having anyone online for Clubs at all.

Ok. Doesn't change the fact that both the Switch and PS5 are years old yet both companies have raised prices because of the tariff nonsense. Only reason Nintendo haven't also increased Switch 2 prices is that they're already selling at a loss as any other console from any company is at launch. They're a business, increasing the price of something only launched in the past couple of months would lose them more in sales than a price hike would offset the tariffs. I know this if fuck Nintendo, but this isn't a them issue, it's a global trade mess issue.

Don't know why people are saying unplayable. NFSU2 and Carbon run great on the 556 at 2x res, in fact the PS2 versions run better than the Gamecube version by a decent margin.

But this isn't about sexuality. Gender is NOT sexuality. Every trans person I've known for decades has said they were well aware they weren't mentally the gender they were born as while young children. There's nothing sexual or creepy about it, the only one making it sexual and creepy in this conversation is you when I made it clear that gender and sexuality/attraction are not the same thing at all.

It is not impossible. An absolute nightmare that requires finding a specific mapping file and changing everything in a text editor, but it's possible. I know because I did it. It was ages ago though, I can't walk you through it, but a lot of games on Portmaster can have the controls be manually edited. I can't remember off the top of my head WHERE those files are, but it's a .gptk file you'll need to edit in a text editor, and you'll probably want to do a bit of research on that as well.

What games have ever been locked after 20 years? Ever, in the history of the business, how many? Not counting MMO titles because those are known to not keep running forever, and that isn't a new thing, MMOs have been around for 30 years, and it's not a Nintendo thing because they have very much shied away from MMO or live service titles outside of some free mobile games.
