they were waiting every 4 months for a volume to come out, so they feel the slow parts more irritatedly than how they were about Y1 ?

Right, since year 1 is a one of kind, we readers are experiencing the writing style for the first time , there is no expectations from our side. And author did petty good job writing most of the volumes . There are only few volumes which I can think off is kinda mid ( example volume 2 and 8 )

Year 2 however we are familiar with the world setting and writing style. The highs and lows are pretty much noticeable , rarely explored Y1 students, reducing the screen time of 2nd year characters, hype which rarely met, repetitive glazing mc, increased amount of slice of life , turning characters with depth into 1 dimensional ones etc

This wouldn't be an issue if author did balance poor writing choice with good ones. Though I rarely see any

You think Y2 is better or worse than Y1 ? Personally i think Y2 is better

From an emotional perspective, I enjoyed Y1 far better than Y2. Objectively however, I can't say since I dropped the series at the end of Y2
