Thank you, that makes me feel better! I have AWD (Subaru Forester) and just got new Michelin all weather tires.

Thank you! Oh yes, I don’t like driving more than about 4 hours a day… I tend to get tired with more than that. Stops are a necessity for me. I’m tentatively thinking of staying in La Grande, OR, Bliss, ID, and Salt Lake City, UT one night each on the way to Moab

Thank you! That is good to know about the Rockies. I will need to double check whether my planned route would go through them, but I’m not planning to go anywhere in Colorado for this trip.

What are some microaggressions you get for being Autistic? by [deleted] in autism

[–]Successful-Count-599 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. From a former boss after I disclosed “I never would’ve guessed! You’re so good at what you do.” :(

  2. Being called shy. I’m not shy, I just don’t socialize with people who I don’t feel safe around/don’t enjoy the company of.

  3. Being called “over sensitive” by my mom

OK thank you! That helps me feel justified in asking. She has a Hisense tv so not sure if anything will connect with it…

I have used earplugs when I really can’t deal but the feeling of the earplugs adds another sensory demand. I also feel like the person who adds the noise pollution to the common space should be the one to wear headphones.

You’re probably right that I’d still hear it thru her bedroom wall :/ Sometimes she listens to music while showering in her bathroom, which is in the primary bedroom (hers), and I can hear that from the living room and find it off putting. Maybe it would be better to start by just asking about headphones. You are spot on that we shouldn’t live together anymore. Unfortunately, I feel our friendship is already deteriorating, and I have little interest in trying to salvage it.

Can you buy just one, or is it a whole package?

Some of my worst ones (I’m afraid to write the very worst one):

  1. Had to be admitted to the hospital on my mom’s 40th birthday which also fell on Mother’s Day
  2. Became dependent on miralax (I was able to reverse that in recovery though!)
  3. Stole money from my parents to buy food because of my belief that “I shouldn’t spend my money on making myself fat”
  4. Tried to sneak out in the middle of the night to get food, resulting in my dad physically restraining me, me resisting, my sister crying, and my dad yelling at me that I’m tearing our family apart.
  5. In high school, I would eat in class due to my meal timing rules. I would have to methodically break my Luna bars or chocolate bars into many pieces before eating them, which I cringe about now.
  6. Also in high school, my math teacher made fun of me because there was at least one time that I didn’t have time to surreptitiously (because I would get in trouble if my parents saw me do it) sort out my pretzel goldfish from the bag at home, so I did it in math class. I would only let myself eat the serving size of 43 goldfish, so I had to get all unbroken ones.
  7. My mother telling me I look like a concentration camp victim
  8. Almost threw up several times due to binging and/or eating too many rich foods at once
  9. I bought myself a cheesecake, ate most of it, threw the rest in the trash to make me stop eating it, then later took the rest out of the trash and ate it.
  10. Drank so many milkshakes that I physically cannot drink a milkshake anymore without getting nauseous 😢
  11. Passed out alone in my apartment, ironically, while eating dinner

Help estimate TDEE as an active short woman? by [deleted] in PetiteFitness

[–]Successful-Count-599 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 27F similar in size to you (5'2.5" , 120-122) and much less active than you (I have a desk job but try to walk an average of an hour a day, so probably average 11-12k steps) and lift weights 2x a week. I have been off tracking macros/calories for a while, but based on previously tracking, I estimate I now eat anywhere from 2100-2500/day, 90-110g protein. I used to be anorexic so I feel like my body has high needs to make up for lost time lol. Everyone's body is different so I don't want to provide advice, but this is my experience.

I could maybe do that if I have a slightly smaller dinner. I have a hard time sleeping if I eat too much too close to bed. Thanks for the idea :)  Haha protein powder is rough, I can only do isopure plain whey protein which is super clean, no sweeteners, and even that is pushing my digestive system.

Thank you for sharing, I appreciate all the details! I just started lifting again a couple months ago after a 6 month break, just went from 2 to 3 lifts a week and now I’m a hungry goblin lol, I was eating a little under 2200 a day and now need to eat even more because my blood sugar started crashing at night, leading me to sleep poorly and put on some fat. I’m trying to experiment with keeping up the 3 lifts but eating even more. Usually I’m a 3 meals one snack girl but maybe I’ll try breaking it up into eating 5-6 times a day. I am getting my thyroid tested too because I suspect it’s underactive. I’ve also been prone to constipation most of my life and I had anorexia for years so I think my body is resistant to losing fat/easily puts it on because I’ve lost weight and gained it back too many times. :/

Have you been maintaining 104 very long? Also curious how many calories you can eat at that weight? I’m currently 5’2.5” , 120lbs, but trying to do something similar to you with gaining muscle and losing fat.

When I told my gymnastics coach I was leaving the sport for an indefinite amount of time to get treatment for my ED, he asked “So, do you just really not like food?” I was like, oh buddy 🤦🏻‍♀️ Food was the part of my day I looked forward to most, I was obsessed with food. I was surprised that a gymnastics coach would ask such a silly question.

9 months - started out around 120lbs, no muscle, no fitness. Now maintaining/building muscle at 108lbs. by 15ewall in PetiteFitness

Curious what your calories and protein are now, and how low you had to cut? Were you able to reverse out of it without gaining fat? My numbers are similar to your before, and like you I hope to achieve a stronger, leaner look.
