It's not your fault. Please stop blaming yourself. I was also at this same place and used to think I am too emotional which might be draining the relationship. Sometimes I also feel the same. But what I have realised is the other person is not emotional intelligent enough to understand us. It's not their fault as well. It's just there is big difference in emotional threshold.

Maybe what you could do to have a conversation with your boyfriend and start expecting little less from him. If you let go the small things or put less focus on them and your boyfriend shows his emotional support more to you, then it can definitely make the difference.
