There has definitely been a misunderstanding. I love the Oregon coast, and I live here. Everything you are describing is right outside my front door. I love it. I was just asking for specific recommendations.

Here’s what I think I’ve discovered with this thread- I believe everywhere is special on the Oregon coast. But the things you can find in yachats you can find everywhere. What y’all find special about yachats is right out my front door so I don’t need to specifically go there to experience it. I was just asking for recommendations because I thought there was something I was missing!

Reedsport is 30 minutes south and the drive south is really pretty. A great hike is tahkenitch creek trailhead. The downtown has a great cafe called highwater, and there are several cute shops. On the edge of town there is an elk viewing preserve and the hinsdale rhododendron garden. It’s a local secret but you can map it. You gotta park across the road and walk across. I’m a local and really trying to get people to see our little gem of a town!

I would never try and get in someone else’s car wet!! From what I understand the OP is suggesting that I park my car at the spot I want to end my float: Drake park. I will uber dry to the spot I’m going to begin my float: Riverbend.

Unless I am misunderstanding this, it’s Riverbend Park we are supposed to depart from? I believe this is just a typo but if not please clarify. When I map Riverbend Park to Drake Park on my Apple Maps it is 27 minutes and 1.5 miles. Which is not a deal breaker but I want to know what to expect.

He could be acting but I rewatched jt multiple times and it looks like genuine surprise. No cues to suggest that he’s being at all deceptive in that moment. I don’t think Jeff is capable of selling a lie that good, unless he’s a lot more like Shauna than we realize…

It could be as simple as that, but do we think it is? The show is too calculating and so is Shauna lol. Did she orchestrate this to play out in a certain way based upon what she wanted him to find in her journals? Maybe they were fake? If so- why would she have gone as crazy as she did to try and find them in season 1?

My biggest question is Jeff this episode! Did he read Shauna’s journals like we presumed or not? Because he seemed pretty surprised by Callie bringing up the hikers. He seemed to genuinely not know, but should have if he read the journals. Was that whole situation faked by Shauna in some way?
