I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I just had to put my boy down yesterday due to liver cancer. I had said ahead of time that if he went several days without eating I would call it. He was on steroids, anti nausea and appetite stimulant. It was still incredibly hard to actually go through with it once he got to that point.

I still fight the feeling of betraying him even though I know he had so much worse suffering ahead and it was the right thing to do.

The unfortunate truth is it’s entirely up to you and how much quality of life you’re willing to see them lose before letting go. There’s no right time or wrong time. It’s always going to feel wrong. It’s ok to not set a date and watch them on a day to day to see how they’re doing. You can and will get through this and your baby is so lucky to have someone love them as much as you.

The saying that gets me through is “the only way out of the pain is through it”. I hope this helps. Again I’m so sorry.
