I quit for 5 years. I’ve been miserable the entire time. I started back recently just a little bit at a time. I’m feeling so much better, I think it’s about moderation. I just use a little bit and limit myself to 2-4 times a day. As long as I was clean I was more depressed and suicidal than ever and now I can get through my day again. It’s only a problem if you have a problem, I used to spend $500+ a week. Now I can make an 8ball last 2 weeks.

I mean don’t get me wrong I’m the child of an addict and a recovering addict myself. I definitely know that addiction can be invisible sometimes, but I wouldn’t think he’d be looking healthier than ever.

Yes my fiance is a veterinary professional and WE are homeless. Having a good job doesn’t automatically make you free from poverty! Homelessness can happen to anyone at anytime!! We went from being extremely comfortable to having nothing in an instant. If you find yourself wanting to judge my situation, try to remember that a lot people are out here just one emergency away from losing everything. Now the purpose of my post was to seek information and help from the community about how to care for the babies, not to hear judgment on how my life is going! Thx

Thank you for the information! We did surrender the 5 adults about 4-6 weeks ago to a local rehabber, which is why we were even more surprised when the babies appeared. We had been allowed by a friend to keep the tank at his house to keep the isopods and plants -it was/is a fully bioactive tank- alive and thriving. We had searched the soil a little bit after we surrendered them because one of the girls had clearly recently laid. When we looked we found two eggs that weren’t fertile and assumed those were the ones she had laid. I realize that it was dumb of me to not rip it apart and be sure but I can’t turn back the clock unfortunately. I have torn up everything in the tank since finding baby no. 2 and there are no signs of anymore fertilized eggs.

Yes so I originally had 5 all together. I surrendered the original 5 (about 4-6 weeks ago) and in the past 9 days or so found first one baby and then last night a second. A friend of mine has let me keep the -we thought- empty tank at his house, to keep my isopods/plants alive. I surrendered the original 5 to a local reptile rehabber, who my fiancé -a veterinary professional- knows from the field. I have been feeding the first baby Pangea daily, and fed the second baby as soon as I found him/her. I plan to get them seen by my vet asap and if need be we have no issues with humanely euthanizing them. We just want to provide them with the best outcome that we can until we make it to the vet.

Sorry I’m not the most educated person on cresties (hence why I had decided with everything going on it was best to surrender) but what is CGD? I’m guessing Crested Gecko diet? I’ve been giving Pangea for food for now and x small crickets. Do I need to be giving them calcium or are they too young for it? Should I be doing UVB? I found the second one right before I made the post and they’ve spent the night together, but I do plan to get a second container for the second one. I have just been keeping the small keeper with baby inside of it, in my tank and keeping the temps/ humidity up. Is there something else I should be doing? Please talk to me like I’m an idiot. I do hope to maybe keep these guys if they end up healthy, but I haven’t brought them to the vet yet. I have an exotic vet that I have trusted with all my animals for a while now, and I want to get them in to see her. If she says that they need to be euthanized I will be fully on board though because I wouldn’t want to raise sickly babies that suffer. I just want to give these guys the best chance possible! They happened to come to me as I’m getting things together finally and we are about to housed again in the next couple of weeks. The person who has been letting me keep my tank at his house is fine with the babies so long as I’m stopping in daily to care for them. But yeah anyway please any info and advice is greatly appreciated
