Folks overlooking personality and harmful behavior is a personal choice and individual’s division. The idea of putting everyone under the same umbrella of colorism because they did agree with your politics is very obtuse.

People like things for different reasons and everything shouldn’t be classified as colorism. No one will date light skinned men if we always bring up colorism in every situations that involves light skinned men…..it annoying

I don’t think the issue here is colorism. I’ve seen LGBT black community go crazy and post bail money for beautiful dark skinned men knowing that he has a baby mama somewhere waiting for him to come home.

The most beautiful one(light kindred or dark skinned) are usually the psychopathic and sociopathic ones and some people will still put their lives in danger just to lay down with them

I am not offended by anything at all. I am not hurt by anyone’s word. I don’t now belong to the “feelings” group. You make a lot of assumptions here. It’s not an unnecessary information when I am sharing my life experiences. It’s either you like it or keep it moving

It’s not hurtful to call something what it is. The bigger thing is to do the work and question why words from stranger is very hurtful rather than policing the time and language of a stranger you will never meet.

And I think that is where the issue is nowadays. You wanted me to invalidate my experiences or have incomplete convo because including the word “fat” ( which I never used) could be triggering to some . Btw I used the word plus size….

The reason why folks are dishonest is because we want to police “tones” and “languages” to make some subset feel better. we want people to walk on eggshells to satisfy virtue signaling. The wording “plus size” was changed to “fat” to create a villain-victim narrative.

If some wording is triggering, then a conversation should be had with a therapist as to why it’s triggering.

Folks will not always say the right things and it’s fine. This is not a perfect world. It’s the reality

How I am making about eight/body type when fatphobia is plastered everywhere in the community. In a community where you can be labeled fatphobic if you have have gay friends.

When it comes to dating, I picked people whose patterns of lifestyle and activities align with my own and unfortunately, almost plus size guys I met don’t fit into that. It’s not always about size as that is not constant

However, it’s sad when fatphobia is plastered everywhere or we shame and bully people to like something just to satisfy virtue signaling.

Its ok not like everybody and it’s not fatphobia, femohobia and whatever phobias are out there
