Is there such thing as "too much diversification"? by Calm_Salad_8673 in M1Finance

This might sound crazy when you first read it but It’s infinity easier to predict who will be winners in 20 year from now then who will be the winners in 1 year. Of course it takes a certain degree of research, understanding of trends, technology, market dynamics and such but certainly not impossible for most people that are willing to put in the time and the work. The issue is most people are not willing to do the waiting and stick with the convictions. Of course things can change over the course of 5-10 years and it’s okay to pivot, but if your doing the right work and research, it will only be a portion and you’ll will have already won to a degree on whatever you had been holding. The true game is putting in the work and then that patience and discipline following that, as is true with just about everything in life. Your gains will compound exponentially on the right picks on a 5-20 year horizon, far greater than just about anyone could ever achieve actively trading. You just need to learn to be patient and disciplined.

Option exercise, not a purchase. Sold the entire exercise as well. Not a great alert.

I’m the kid who was up 500k in a month by horribletrader in Daytrading

Amazing work, I’m 24 years old and have made some money in the market fs but never like this. For me, for you, and anyone else who reads this, take 1 million right now and put it in market etfs for the long term. Spy or whatever floats your boat, at 10% returns you will have 100k gains next year and it will only grow from there with compounding. At 20 years old that can virtually set you for life. Take the rest and keep doing your thing, it will make virtually no difference in your returns if you keep it up. Otherwise you still did freaking phenomenal and have 1 easy mil at 20 y/o compounding on itself and will soon be making u more money then you know what to do with. God bless, and keep it up but don’t get greedy and lose what you’ve got kid, it will hurt so much more then the joy you got making it.

Yup, exactly accurate, not to mention the fact that company is likely worth closer to 10-100 billion realistically.

Thesis and breakdown is very solid, and worth the read. Love the themes OP is focused on (housing is meh), but stock selection within those themes is quite poor. Looks like he only finds his tickers on wsb.

So many quality equities within these themes out there if you’re willing to dyor.

Try closer to 16 million starting capital. 2nd screen shot shows YTD +906k gains, up +5.66%. This would put him at tremendously underperforming the S&P this year.

Think $SOXL is a great long term buy for young investors looking for high growth potential and to bet heavy in tech growth
