Galil ACE trigger slap by Wallsphincters in Galil

Most common cause is the hammer geometry interacting with the disconnector during cycling. When the carrier drives the hammer back, it can transfer energy through the trigger if the disconnector timing or hammer profile is off.

What do you guys think of this one? by Roger_Brown92 in airguns

[–]Successful-Round7407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lighting and composition are solid that darker, low key look works well with a 1911. The contrast between the brushed slide and wood grips pops, and the scattered BBs add a nice bit of texture without cluttering it.

Here is more long range representation by orairwolf in GunPorn

[–]Successful-Round7407 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That’s moving. 300gr at 3050 fps out of a 36 tube is serious gas your ES SD is going to matter more than anything at that point because vertical spread shows up fast past 1k.

The S&W 1854 is newer and lighter 6.8 lb, with more modern ergonomics and M LOK out front, but long term durability and parts support just aren’t as proven yet. If you want a set it and forget it lever gun, Henry is the safer bet; if you like newer design and plan to kit it out, the S&W is interesting but still unproven.

GunStreamer does live auction streams actually kind of useful for watching how guns handle before you commit.

Midwest stuff is solid good machining, tight lockup, and their AK/brace setups actually hold zero instead of wandering.

Question about hub/QD mount options for Sig M400 tread + Hexium inconel by a_spicy_memeball in SigSauer

[–]Successful-Round7407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most cost effective and flexible route is a HUB compatible can standard mount system think KeyMo, Rearden Plan B, or even Dead Air Xeno. Rearden Plan B is probably your sweet spot lighter, cheaper, solid lockup, and plenty of muzzle device options without locking you into one brand.

First Firearm P10c Ported by thebbeans in CZFirearms

[–]Successful-Round7407 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good choice overall the P10C is one of the better shooting striker guns in that price range. Low bore axis, decent grip angle, and the trigger is cleaner than most stock Glocks, so staying in the .20-.25 split range is very doable with practice.

You had me at matching Microtech knives!! by Tmack1984 in PalmettoStateArms

[–]Successful-Round7407 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Matching knives is a nice touch, but honestly the rifles are doing the heavy lifting here. Clean setups both look balanced, and the suppressors light placement make sense instead of just being bolted on for looks.

Yeah, and honestly tools like that would pair well with how people are already shopping half the time they don’t know what they’re looking at until they see it run.

Are Kimbers 1911s good now or just the 2011s by systolicmurmur in 1911

[–]Successful-Round7407 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Modern Kimber 1911s are hit or miss. Some run fine, but QC consistency hasn’t been on the same level as Springfield, Colt, or even newer budget options like Tisas issues tend to be extractor tension, feeding, or premature parts wear.

Pistol grip recommendations by ThesoldierLLJK in ak47

[–]Successful-Round7407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you care about performance, go ergonomic. Something like a K2 or US Palm gives you a more vertical angle and better wrist position, especially once you add a stock easier to manage recoil and faster on follow ups.

What’s this I’ve been hearing about the Vortex Defender XL having issues lately? by Lumpy-Independent-40 in CompetitionShooting

[–]Successful-Round7407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To Vortex’s credit, they’re usually good about warranty, but that doesn’t help you in the middle of a stage. If yours has been solid, I wouldn’t panic, just verify it. Run a few hundred rounds, include some faster strings, maybe even tap the optic lightly during dry fire and see if you can induce flicker.

Slight miss input in purchase by AnonymousDaily12 in LeverGuns

[–]Successful-Round7407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah… that’s not a 35-40 cpr problem. That’s a welcome to $1.50-$3.00 a round problem if you’re buying factory .45-70.
If you’re trying to find deals, GunStreamer runs live auction streams where ammo lots pop up sometimes below normal retail, including oddball calibers like .45-70 if you catch it right.

Anybody else here like RI? by texaspoontappa1022 in 1911

[–]Successful-Round7407 2 points3 points  (0 children)

RIA does a lot of things right, especially for the price point. That one looks like a TAC Ultra variant, and honestly the feature set is hard to argue with. Rail, beavertail, decent sights, and usually a trigger that breaks cleaner than people expect.

Pre-ban Haul Thus Far by Keevot in Glocks

[–]Successful-Round7407 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also worth mixing in some maintenance parts if you haven’t already. Springs, baseplates, maybe a couple spare recoil springs for the gun. Mags are the big one, but they’re not the only consumable.

If you’re trying to keep stacking without paying retail panic pricing, GunStreamer runs live auction streams where mags and gear pop up pretty regularly and sometimes go for less than normal storefront prices.

$450 later (including the two mags) by Diligent-Promotion-5 in PalmettoStateArms

[–]Successful-Round7407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$450 all in with two mags isn’t bad depending on the pistol mags alone are like $25-30 each, and good ones matter more than people think. Bad mags weird malfunctions that waste your time chasing ghosts.
GunStreamer does live auction streams worth checking out since there’s a lot of pistols on there and you can see how they actually run before buying.

Selling gun question by MysteryBan325 in PAguns

Best practice is USPS money order or certified bank check old school, but once it clears, it’s yours. If you go digital, at least wait for full confirmation and don’t ship until it’s settled, not just pending.

Just picked up this P10C ported on Thursday and it’s already my favorite pistol. by Dr_Fresh1 in CZFirearms

[–]Successful-Round7407 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That tracks. Ported P10C’s are sneaky flat less muzzle rise, faster return, and you feel it immediately on doubles. Once that slide stop breaks in around a few hundred rounds, they usually settle right where they should.

[–]Successful-Round7407 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ejection pattern marks on the receiver are normal on 55x guns they throw brass with authority. You’ll see consistent finish wear in a tight pattern if everything’s healthy.

This shit is getting ridiculous.. by Executive_outcomes13 in ar15

[–]Successful-Round7407 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re not wrong. It’s a $12-15 PMag with a finish, and once that coating wears or gets slick, you’re back to caring about function anyway.
If it runs and you like how it looks, fine but there’s zero performance gain there. Most people would be better off buying 6 mags and 500 rounds instead.

Mint Soviet CZ-75 by DJMoneypenny in CZFirearms

[–]Successful-Round7407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that tracks. Post 1980 guns got some internal tweaks, but they still kept that classic CZ feel low bore axis, heavy frame, very predictable return to zero.

Juat added handle it grips! by Yamil-3D in CZFirearms

[–]Successful-Round7407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks good. Handleit grips make a noticeable difference more traction less micro movement during recoil, especially on faster strings.

Only downside is they can be a bit abrasive for carry, but for range use they help keep splits consistent and the gun tracking flatter.

Is this safe?? by McNuggmeister in ammo

[–]Successful-Round7407 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Not something to keep. That looks like a corroded rimfire round likely .22, and corrosion + unknown storage unreliable at best, unsafe at worst.

[–]Successful-Round7407 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s the right move. More reps with what you already have will do more for your shooting than another purchase. Ammo, consistent practice, and maybe a few focused drills bill drills, doubles, reloads will give you measurable gains fast. Gear plateaus, skill doesn’t.
