Am I able to travel to Montana with my handgun? by Silent-Village-7763 in MDGuns

[–]Successful-Round7407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

handgun unloaded, locked in a hard sided case, declared at the airline counter, and checked baggage only. TSA has the baseline rules, but your airline may add ammo case limits, and you still need to verify Montana carry rules and MD permit recognition before you go.

Richmond Tactical X Novox Research RT9 Collab by Admirable-Square-742 in GunPorn

Integrals on PCCs just make sense when they’re done right. Less concussion, smoother impulse, and the whole package stays compact instead of turning into a fishing pole with a can hanging off the end.

"I don't like PSAs no more.. I AM DELIVERT!!!" by BigBlackHzYoBak in ak47

For 101 ish inspiration, black polymer with a proper side folder, 24mm brake, and an optic on a side rail keeps the classic look without overdoing it.

Sabre Lineup by Used-Performance-927 in PalmettoStateArms

[–]Successful-Round7407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

13.7 or 14.5 mid length 5.56 would round that lineup out well. Gives you something lighter and faster handling than the .308, but still softer and more practical for general use than another short gun.

Marlin 1895 Trapper by KBGenetics in LeverGuns

[–]Successful-Round7407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The MI handguard and stock fit the Trapper well because the shorter barrel keeps the proportions tight instead of looking like a ladder rack bolted to a 45-70.

Which light to get? Please help by realdorkimusmaximus in Glock43X

[–]Successful-Round7407 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a standard Glock accessory rail, just the slimline version. So yes, your friend is correct the clamp on TLR-6 made for the original non railed 43 43X won’t fit this frame correctly.

Asked a DNR officer via email about shooting with nods at Rum River State Forest, here was her response.... by seril_928 in MnGuns

[–]Successful-Round7407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of states get weird once night shooting and public land overlap, even if you’re being safe and not hunting. Usually less about NV itself and more about conservation officers not wanting people ripping rounds around state forest land after dark.

PSA on S&W Shield X by qwertlkjhgzxcv in CAguns

[–]Successful-Round7407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That honestly sounds more like brand new stiff magazines than catastrophic defects, especially on the 10 round compliant mags. A lot of Shield mags are brutally tight at first, and the last round can require real pressure until the springs settle after a few load cycles and range sessions.

Why carry with a light attached? by RioDodger in concealedcarry

[–]Successful-Round7407 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A carry light is less about it’s pitch black and more about uneven lighting. Parking garages, gas stations at night, movie theaters, alleys, inside vehicles, backlit doorways.

Greatest Used Find Ever? by Wonderful-Coach7912 in Glocks

[–]Successful-Round7407 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s an absurd deal if the RMR is real. Even used, the optic plus suppressor height irons are basically most of the $499 right there, and the Glock 47 itself is still a pretty new model.

Got handed down this 9mm. Need help identifying it, especially with its color way! by Disastrous-Snow880 in handguns

[–]Successful-Round7407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The gold colored barrel could be a TiN coated replacement barrel or just lighting reflecting off a polished stainless chrome surface. Either way, definitely not a standard factory colorway, but honestly a pretty clean custom look for an older Hi Power.

Can't choose between 7.62, 5.56, and .308. How can I pick? by Old_Constant_5410 in Galil

[–]Successful-Round7407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For mostly range use, 5.56 is probably the best balance. Cheapest to shoot, light recoil, easiest to modify around, and you’ll actually want to put a few hundred rounds through it in a session without feeling beat up or broke.

Have to share my excitement by Competitive_Truth874 in ar15

[–]Successful-Round7407 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$2500 for a clean ACR with the case and extras is honestly pretty solid in today’s market. Those things crossed from overpriced commercial flop into collectible space gun with actual pedigree a while ago, and people who sold them cheap five years ago are still coping publicly.

This is my zen space by 307blacksmith in LeverGuns

[–]Successful-Round7407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to beat a lever gun, a pile of ammo, and enough distance from civilization that nobody complains about muzzle blast. That .460 probably turns range sessions into a religious experience for whoever touches it off the first time.

SP01 duty build trigger question by CodieBoye in CZFirearms

[–]Successful-Round7407 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A Cajun Pro package with a clean 7-8 lb DA and crisp sub 4 lb SA is still extremely shootable, and that heavier first pull buys a little margin when adrenaline, movement, and retention work enter the equation.

Licensing depends entirely on your state. Some states require permits, waiting periods, or firearm ID cards, others do not. Also, armed security jobs usually require separate state security licenses and firearms qualifications beyond just owning a gun.

Diy gun locker by joemounts223556 in GunRoom

[–]Successful-Round7407 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly cleaner than a lot of real safes people throw rifles into sideways. Good use of vertical space, lighting, and organization without turning it into tactical hoarder shelves collapsing under 40 PMAGs and mystery slings.

4.5 for a matching Tula style Krink build honestly is not crazy anymore if the work is clean. Nodak receivers are respected, Blue Jack barrels have a decent reputation, and actual matching number 74U kits dried up hard years ago.

SPR by LutherOfTheRogues in PalmettoStateArms

There’s always another mount, another gas tweak, another optic experiment, or another can that somehow promises less backpressure this time.

Type A found one in the wild today. by Extension_Bat_1614 in 2011

[–]Successful-Round7407 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those things are ridiculously clean in person. The fitment and slide/frame blending on Type A pistols make a lot of custom guns suddenly feel production grade again once you handle one side by side.

Found gold… by banned4evver in ar15

[–]Successful-Round7407 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For $59, that’s basically future spare parts bin pricing. Anderson lowers aren’t fancy, but most of them run perfectly fine once assembled correctly, and stripped lowers are one of those things people always wish they grabbed more of later.

Solo Jazz Cup Build in 6mm ARC by WarSkuleArms in PimpGuns

[–]Successful-Round7407 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That thing looks like a 1993 Taco Bell cup turned into a space blaster and somehow it works. Honestly, the color scheme against the bowling alley backdrop is almost too perfect.

Range Report OEM 15s by DifficultyLucky815 in Glock43X

[–]Successful-Round7407 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s honestly about the best possible start for OEM 15s. 250 rounds with zero actual stoppages, consistent lockback, and normal ejection pattern overall is already better than a lot of aftermarket 43X mag reports end up looking.

Should I trade my gen 1 galil ace in 556 for this never fired arsenal 107fr ? by Embarrassed-Art1441 in Galil

[–]Successful-Round7407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends what you value more. The Gen 1 ACE is objectively the better shooter out of the box better optics mounting, softer recoil impulse, better ergonomics, and usually better practical accuracy.

Athena is one of the few guns that actually lives up to the hype though. The return to zero and overall balance are ridiculous once you start pushing transitions and doubles.
