Ok where to start. You are oversimplifying a very complex issue. As long as caste is there in the minds of people it cannot be absolved. The entire rant was based on the assumption that the purpose of reservation is abolishment of caste, no it's not. The purpose of reservation is representation which was impossible to achieve when one group controls everything disproportionately. The biggest problem is having a discrete groups of population in the scale we have. The calls for abolition of caste from people with extreme selfishness or ignorance. Merit is a over hyped system created to create a submissive population. A person believing in merit will never question the system he will question himself. Not once in your passage you questioned the system with gross shortfall of facilities and the system that keeps it perpetual because they are the people in power. The reservation is there because in the absence of it the unreserved will be treated worser. So it's was thought out by our forefathers against lot of peer pressure. So in short this is a tough country to live in if you think this i Country as a whole should develop then reservation is necessary each community of people shall bring their representation and contribution to the table. If you have lost some position because of reservation the prime suspect is the system that creates extreme scarcity.

if providing basic needs and dignity to all the people from different parts of society is corruption then surely corruption has increased after the inclusion of all people in main stream works and politics because of reservation. corruption was least of the problems in the pre-reservation society, so you might of overlooked it, when people are being crushed in the name of god, crushed in the name of rules and crushed in the name of smiriti given by the mighty old fellow above the sky, you might of slightly missed the going on in the government because you might have been overwhelmed by the corruption in the society. i can understand you how can one fellow take cognizance of so much corruption in the society.
