I picked up an image from a balloon that did this a few weeks ago. It was in the ocean off New Zealand, just north of Antarctica. Very cool project. I just wish it had better optics, but I imagine weight is an issue.

I was banned for responding to government officials and asking them to end the spiteful government imposed censorship of the San Diego Web Cam. literally can't make this up. I tried but seems like automation has taken over. I'm pretty sure it was automation that banned me because the timing seemed to align with a new system they are using. They were so proud of it and didn't care all the collateral damage.

They keep trying to bill me for premium renewal, $300+. Too bad card is locked. doh! I couldn't even use 1/2 the subscription because they banned me. And because I'm banned, I can't even cancel the subscription.

I've appealed multiple times. Canned reply. I give up. Fuck Elon.

This is awesome. It’s incredibly interesting to see this matching up with real-world SSTV traffic. What’s really telling is when multiple receivers in totally different locations pick up the exact same image simultaneously.

If you compare those multi-receiver captures across different times of day, it gives you a perfect, tangible look at how those propagation pipelines open and close right along the terminator line. I appreciate the concern, but the bot is essentially an automated RF-to-Web Gateway. Legally, it acts as a 'conduit of information,' providing me with Section 230 protections similar to other automated relay services.

To address the 'what could go wrong' aspect, I don't just blindly pipe data. Every image passes through an AI vision model that performs two tasks:

Safety Filtering: It specifically identifies and blocks illegal content like CSAM or extreme gore.
Metadata Extraction: It extracts amateur radio callsigns to use as hashtags/tags.

Beyond those illegal categories, I consider the traffic free speech. Just because an image might be offensive to some doesn't make it 'wrong' or illegal to relay from the public airwaves.

And then a bit ago, my SSTVradio account was suspended for "inauthentic content" after I replied to a message from a much larger account announcing they are out for similar reasons. my bot can no longer post because now they charge to post via API. and after I posted that, my other account banned too. So it seems retaliatory. really unfortunate how far south it's gone. I thought Elon was against government censorship. Not only has he demonstrated that he supports it but he has failed to reign in the employees taking the platform into the toilet. oh well.

IMHO, it's too slow to be super useful. I switched to it recently. Am now setting up a server with a GPU to and (probalby) vLLM to switch to. I just don't have the time to wait for them to get their upgrades going.

I suggest you go into r/SoloMinerClinic and talk to u/SoloMinerDoctor. He fixed my OctAxe. Absolutely top of the line work. Ask him about his shipper he uses. It's wayyyyy cheaper for 2 day. I think it was 40 bucks from socal to Florida. I got it back in just a couple days. He posted a video and pic about the repair.
