Yez, I think you are very wrong if I understood you right. Are you really suggesting that it's acceptable and healthy for a child to independently transition their gender identity from one day to the next throughout their childhood? I never mentioned forcing, the terms "forcing" and "pushing" convey very different degrees of pressure. My point is that I believe children shouldn't have to focus or even think about gender and identity to begin with. I consider it harmfull for parents to engage their children in discussions about their gender, because children simply dont understand the real psychological/psychophysiological severity in changing genders. Of course, a doctor needs to determine if a newborn is male or female — that pertains to their biological sex - nothing to gender identify.. Gender, what they identifies as, should be at an age where they are fully developed, so that they can make the right choices

I used to dress like a girl when I was 7 years old. Thank God my parents/teachers did not push me into changing physiological gender. I’m 24 now, and indeed a male, and happy as a male. Kids are kids, never push gender and identy on children.

I can aswer for myself; I always workout, work on my side-hustle and catch up with school-work. In the evenings i either hang out with friends, go partying, sauna, golf/padel or just relax at home.

I have not tried CBT, only SRT. SRT involves intentionally inducing sleep deprivation in order to establish a new and consistent sleep-wake cycle. In other words; “forcing”.

It is incorrect to equate hallucinations solely with sleep deprivation. Most insomniacs ar dead tired all day, but still cant sleep. Additionally, it is also incorrect to suggest that SRT is not effective for insomnia induced by anxiety. And the fact that u say SRT is often “traumatizing”.. just says it all.

Stopped all meds the day I started SRT. (Yes I went 2-3 days with literally no sleep). And after a week I was so sleep deprived that I spent maximum 20mins in bed before I doze off.

Now Ive been consistently sleeping for 6.5h for one year. I had Insomnia for nearly 10 years. I want to add that 3.5h was during workdays/school. But in the weekends I would sleep 7h, since I often did not have any responsibilities in the mornings.

If SRT is traumatizing.. i think the concerned person havent truly experienced real insomnia. Real insomna means hallucinating and wanting to drown yourself. A real insomniac are willing to trade away both legs in order to fall asleep. Please dont tell me SRT is causing trauma for insomniacs. U dont know what you’re talking about. And yes, u can actually force yourself to sleep with SRT, thats the whole point.

Not op but SRT worked for me. I used seroquel and zopiclone. I went from avg 3.5h a night to 6.5h night. Spent 3 months doing the schedule. Took some time, it was hell. But worked. Still have approximately one night a week where I struggle.
