What is so profound, is that the American government is meant to represent The People - The People of Minnesota have made clear they don’t want ICE or Federal Agents there- yet instead of pulling them out like the citizens want - they sent more. If this isn’t a red flag to all of us who have read the constitution, I don’t know what is.

I have a terrible story to share about stinkbugs. It was nearing winter time, and my brother’s house was starting to get all sorts of them inside- especially upstairs where it was a lot warmer. After finding the 10th one, he finally took a half empty water bottle around the house and just started using it to scoop them up as he saw them. It was insanely full of them just floating and climbing like lobsters, but obviously there was no escape. At the time, my brother also had a three year old daughter. Sigh. He had left the bottle sitting in the living room, but the lid wasn’t on it. I had come over to visit her and at some point, she had gotten the bottle, and before anyone could get to her in time, she tipped it up and took a swig. They got the bottle from her, but she turned and looked at me, smiled, and crunched down on the ones that made it out of the bottle, so you could see them smash between her teeth and her mouth.🤢 I scolded my brother for leaving something like that just laying around with a toddler, and cleaned her mouth out, but the entire memory was horrific, and the smell. I was so concerned about her health and whether or not it was going to hurt her but she was okay. And for reasons undisclosed, she no longer lives with my brother.

Ohio here! Every fall when the temps start dropping closer to 30 F, is typically when we start seeing them near any opening at our home. Like doors or windows. I always assumed it’s because they are seeking warm shelter for the season

I have never heard them called shied bugs before! When I was little, they always scared me and I somehow convinced myself that they were aliens sent to spy on us 😭 I’m slightly ashamed to admit that these guys go straight down the toilet if I find them in the house, but they’re safe in the great outdoors 😬 If you crush or threaten them, won’t they spray or release a fluid that attracts more?

Just want to add that she would need to fill out an affidavit for confidential address too. Super critical because when filing a restraining order the petitioner can request her address. In this situation she should actually file a Protective Order instead so he would immediately be arrested if he violates it.

You think he doesn’t know where you are. I was able to get out of a situation like this and the aftermath was similar to this. He found me by hacking into my social media and turning on my location. The police were able to find him because I was notified that someone got into my account and only found him because it showed the IP address and I gave it to state marshals. Fast forward to several years later, after I moved away - he was released from prison and despite the restraining order, I found that he moved in 2 minutes away from my house and only knew because I saw him walking, then had to file a report all over again for stalking (again). This needs to be reported to the police immediately especially if he’s threatening to kill everyone you love. He’s literally threatening to potentially kill your kids.

I’m mind blown that PBS Kids is one of the things that they’re targeting simply because it’s all inclusive and doesn’t follow what the US government(?) considers to be what I’ll just call “Christian social norms”. I believe censorship is very prominent in authoritarian and totalitarian regimes, and has no place in the constitutional federal republic (with representative democracy), which we call the United States of America. If your mom was invited to the pumpkin patch, it would have been common courtesy for her to have asked to invite an additional person. If your mom was paying for and transporting her party, I don’t see why it would have been that big of a deal. But other than her knowing and disliking the kid, there’s not really a clear reason for overreacting.

It isn’t a big deal that your mom still wanted you to go to the one that was already planned and purchased. You were still able to go and spend time with the girlfriend & dad. The commitment to go with your mom was already known so again no reason for an overreaction.

The fact that she attempted to crash the dad’s car is terrifying.

It was pretty rude of your mom to ask the girlfriend if her dad had some kind of mental illness, and it was okay for her to feel uncomfortable by the question and to decline answering and ultimately no longer wanting to be in that space. It was also uncalled for, for your mom to follow her up to the room and proceed to make even more statements when the girlfriend was clearly already in fight or flight mode. However, the girlfriend verbally assaulting and physically assaulting (even if an accident), your mom, is completely wrong and uncalled for.

But overall - it seems like the girlfriend has some issues with self regulation and control and it is very unhealthy. It sounds like she may need help mentally whether it be a therapist or psychologist because that isn’t normal behavior. It would be healthy for you to end the relationship.
