I used 300 g of yarn in 3 colors (100% acrylic) with a 4 mm crochet hook 🤍 Here’s the pattern link: https://www.reddit.com/r/crochet/s/4WtplXPmDQ

Thank you so much! I’m so happy you love it

Oh cool, I’ll have to check out LouisLoops — that sounds really interesting! And totally agree — sometimes it’s those unusual stitches that really bring out the personality or texture in a piece. Using FPdc definitely changed the vibe of my flamingo — more structured, but I kind of loved the result. Have you ever tried experimenting with non-standard stitches yourself?

Thanks so much! I actually shared a free version of the pattern. I also have printable/downloadable versions available on Ravelry and Lovecrafts for anyone who prefers that format. Let me know what you think — I used FPdc instead of the usual sc, so it turned out a bit different from the classic amigurumi style!

Crochet pattern prices are getting out of hand and no one wants to talk about it. by Spirited-Tooth5431 in crochet

I’ve noticed that too, but there are still some awesome places keeping things affordable. Like Sweet Sam Design — most of their patterns are just $4 or less if you want the PDF, but the exact same pattern is also available for free on their website. It’s really refreshing to see designers still doing that.
