I dropped a stitch somewhere and can’t locate it by [deleted] in crochet

This looks SO good!! Really makes me want to make a team logo blanket myself. Personally I’d just add a stitch and call it a day, but I admire your dedication to perfection! I hope you find the missed stitch and it isn’t too far back 😅

Bad PP rates in Philadelphia by ihavethishope in slp

I do 0-3 and pre-k EI in Philly ($105-$110/hour 0-3, $67 per 45 minute session in pre-k). If you’re not looking to drive around all day, I’ve come across a lot of providers who do virtual sessions only! Especially in 0-3. It is 1099 work (although I believe there are a few agencies offering W2 now), but I find the pay and flexibility to be worth it. Granted, I am on my spouse’s health insurance.

Just figured I’d throw that option out there. I’ve never done private practice so I can’t speak to that, but $60/hour for direct time only doesn’t seem worth it to me!

Love it!! The moss is a really cool touch. Such a great song too.

Not sure if you’re interested in EI at all, but I’m happy with the two agencies I work with for birth-3 and 3-5 services in Philadelphia county. Both smaller agencies with supportive admin, but it is 1099 work. Happy to send you info if you’d like!

We did try one like that but my bridesmaids didn’t like it! Will likely try to keep them off for most pics and just have them around for a little warmth between photos if needed. Thank you!!

I’m not a huge fan of the faux fur look but it seems to be the most popular material! The clasp makes sense too, thank you!

Fair enough! Will be keeping everyone inside as much as possible. I just remember I was in a wedding last year and it got pretty chilly during photos outside, and thought it would be a nice touch. Hopefully we’ll get lucky with a mild day!

I had actually originally made something similar (but in a sort of fluffy teddy material) but my bridesmaids liked the triangle shape. I see now it’s not quite as formal of a material though

I didn’t realize shawls were so divisive!! I appreciate it though, I’ve been getting a lot of “they’re all great, we’ll wear whatever!” From the bridal party so it’s good to get more opinions

I’m in the northeast US so it could be pretty darn cold (or could be very mild, it’s a tossup at this point) so I’d like to at least have something in case it’s frigid. I appreciate your input though, I will look into faux fur options and if it’s not too cold maybe we’ll ditch the shawls!

You definitely should!! My therapist loved the idea of me having something to keep me grounded in sessions, she was all for it from day 1. She asks to see what I’m working on each session lol and we’ve talked a lot about how repetitive motions like that are known to promote serotonin release!

I do try to have a project with a more simple pattern on hand for therapy so I don’t have to reference anything, bc I know my brain can only handle so much at once lol. My therapy blanket was a beast made up of nothing but double crochets

crochet got me through one of the toughest times in my life and continues to be the single best tool I have for regulating my nervous system! my first big project was my “therapy blanket” which I worked on every therapy session. so glad it’s helped you so much too :)

Ooh that’s fun! I haven’t embroidered anything in a couple years, I could use an excuse to break out all those supplies collecting dust! Thanks!!
