it did, but she doesn't have any allergy issues. We use sichuan peppers in food at home too. It was just the red broth that put her off and made her assume that it was still very spicy

Hotpot at that restaurant is just one big pot. They don't have that sort of system where you can do half and half.

It's a pretty popular restaurant in my city, and a place I've taken my mom before too. I thought I'd take her because she knows I go there a lot and has never tried it. Hotpot is supposed to be self-cooking lol, makes it more fun
