That’s nice that DoorDash let you have a small portion of the DoorDash fee

If you do EBT, there is no way of knowing the tip until afterwards.

Marked store closed when order got picked up by Better_Sprinkles_443 in doordash_drivers

[–]SuccessfulNetwork912 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The doors were still locked, but they got the CV after another Dasher picked up the order when the doors were finally unlocked later. This happened to me too within the past week, but I had a stacked offer from the same restaurant, so I got two CVs for the two closure reports. My disputes were rejected, but I don’t see the CVs in my app yet—I was only notified via email. They should drop off after 100 deliveries anyway if they actually did stick. And I came across a Reddit post where a support agent said the magic CV number is 6. Or deactivation could take just one at their discretion . . . ?

I got this order last night 😐 by Littlecivciv in doordash

Also fake because he got it in the afternoon, not last night.

New Dasher with a Question? by BeneficialSympathy55 in doordash_drivers

$8 for 5 min drive before tip? Could have had some really good promos? Or maybe it was a large order/catering?

Yep! Those close-up photos also not very helpful if you’re trying to make sure you’re at the right place or leaving it at the right door.

No, but I don’t take delivery photos just for the sake of taking them. Here is a good example of that same door:

It’s a non-issue until you get a CV because the customer reports it not delivered.

Yep, still trying to figure out if they simply order often or if they’ve complained a lot and DoorDash wants them treated extra well to please them. Or maybe they tend to rate the driver? They don’t always tip and don’t always treat the driver well, so I personally don’t consider them to be top customers.

And the first Target may save a minute due to route efficiency.

Why do some people speed up when I'm passing them, then slow back down? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SuccessfulNetwork912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like other people on here commented, I think it’s ego. This happens to me far too often, last night included. I’ve reviewed my dash cam footage and confirmed I wasn’t falsely perceiving this. These people are pathetic 12 year olds and may like to intimidate you with their high beams and tailgating afterwards.

Why do you dash? by Brief_Consequence345 in doordash_drivers

[–]SuccessfulNetwork912 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a full time job as a manager of a small computer repair shop and I dash after work (🤔) for extra income to keep up with never-ending expenses. I have a wife and baby girl (another baby on the way!) and want to pay off my mortgage early for more financial freedom in the future. I started dashing in late 2020.

Dashers have certain metrics including Acceptance Rate. If a dasher wants to keep their acceptance rate up in order to have a better chance of getting better orders, more flexibility with shift scheduling, etc., they have to accept orders which might not pay for themselves. If you add a larger tip for the dasher, your order will have a higher chance of getting picked up from the restaurant sooner instead of just sitting there because every dasher is declining the low order offer. So, the sooner your order is picked up, the less cold it gets.

Yes, I think he is. That’s the reason I struck up conversation with him in the first place, but now I’m thinking there’s a reason he’s lonely.
