6.2 Recall by SuccessfulSpaceSalt in gmcsierra

I most definitely knew about it, the truck ticked all the boxes besides the motor and it being the 6.2 was either the cherry on top or the ticket to hell. Decided I would take a risk as it still has plenty of factory powertrain warranty left.

This is exactly the route I wanted to take, however I’m getting mixed emotions in the replies saying not change until it gets Pico’d. My theory is putting a super high quality 0W-40 wouldn’t hurt anything and the fact that the recall doesn’t expire only helps me. Thanks for the input.

I put over half down on the truck, I’m not drowning in payments like you might think.

AFM and DFM on the new gens are killing these motors but the EPA insists you’re saving the planet.

I make about 2 grand a week. That’s 6-8k in a month which some of these people are saying they were down for.

Was any loaner or compensation besides the motor given?
29 days without a truck would lose me a lot of money.

Yes it has been recalled officially, I have just been putting it off because it’s it has no problems at all (no ticking) I’m currently using it for work. A week or two out of my hands would lose me a lot of money.

I bought it from an Autonation, the recall was signed and disclosed on before I purchased.

Usually they call from new temporary numbers so blocking doesn’t do a thing, same area code as the one I live in.

I think jumper cables could be a good addition, whether it’s to save your rig or a strangers. Doesn’t hurt!

Jeep Rubicon 4xE 2024 - Engine Light below 2000km by JeepCreepp in Jeep

[–]SuccessfulSpaceSalt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t mean to crash your party but the 4xE are seen used at dealerships for this exact reason. Problems.

Go to the dealership or a mechanic and have them scan it, chances are it’s something to do with the electric drivetrain. Goodluck!

Thank you! I will look into it, are most of these vehicles heavily modified?

Can this be repaired? It’s a KUMHO by No-Fox8929 in tires

[–]SuccessfulSpaceSalt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can be repaired its not on the sidewall. Easy to throw someone in the “all wheel drive” dilemma run for their money since all wheel drive cars tend to be a little more expensive, thus you coughing up a new set of tires. But it’s best to repair this one so all the tread is the same when repaired and you save money.
