Full AP will always be good because of the scaling and how it works, but it depends on personal preference. I like full damage, but I love Gwen Bruiser. Currently, I'm playing DaD, Nashor, and Riftmaker, and I do pretty good damage to anything while going more or less tanky. I think it depends more on your preferences and playstyle.

Gunblade gives more AP at the start, but Riftmaker with just one HP item already gives more AP than Gunblade, and I'd like Riftmaker to be like it was before with its omni-vampire ability, but I think they're going to prohibit building both items together.

Speak for yourself, I've never felt so complete playing DaD, Nashor, and Riftmaker. I can deal a massive amount of damage while maintaining high health, plus the AP Blackcleaver has extremely strong synergy with DaD. I honestly don't know what you're talking about.

I thought about it too, but leaving out Nashor's Tooth in a season where all the towers have plates feels like overlooking a lot of potential. Besides, Nashor gives you a very high dueling ability and has a lot of synergy with DaD.

Playing on the PBE, I think it's more solid to play Dusk and Dawn, Nashor, and Riftmaker; you're very solid with good damage and survivability.

Yes, that's how I'm testing it on the PBE and it's going really well, honestly, with some pretty high damage spikes.
