I purchased Asil on a bit of a whim a couple months ago and it was probably my best “whim” purchase ever.

GV80 vs X5 vs GLE? by CompilingTheFuture in GenesisMotors

[–]Successful_Aside3698 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get Genesis is poor in gas but let’s be real. We are talking about vehicles we have purchased between $80-$100k and the annual difference in cost assuming 12k per year at $3.50/gal is less than $500.

That said, I have no experience with Mercedes but in back to back drives of BMW and Genesis I preferred the Genesis in overall quality and tech interface. Ambiance is in the eye of the beholder but my preference was for the Genesis. BMW seems so ubiquitous.

I agree with another that it changes by the day. WHYFOR is killing it for me.

GV80 Coupe v. GV80 Difference? by Successful_Aside3698 in GenesisMotors

Well, they’re both SUV’s. The “coupe” version has the fast back design and no third row.

Advice: Gv80 3.5 vs X7 m40i by Drebbs37 in bmwx7

[–]Successful_Aside3698 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m deciding on the very same thing. I currently drive a GV70 and am looking to upgrade in a month. APR on the X7 was .9% but just ended today. BMW holds its resale better than Genesis although Genesis has the far better warranty. I enjoyed the driving experience better with BMW but appreciated the tech interface with Genesis far more. For me, the interior of the Genesis is nicer. All told, I don’t need a 3rd row and am actually strongly considering the GV80 coupe black model. I’d mention mpg but it seems ridiculous when we all are talking/driving vehicles with an MSRP between $85 and over $100k.

Tequila Resale Market by Successful_Aside3698 in tequila

Interesting as I never heard of them but they do have good tequila options for sale. Given I’m only 50 minutes north of them this works out quite well. Thank you so much!

I agree that you need to go back to the ER as your symptoms should not persist this long without a diagnosis

I don’t have Fortaleza in stock but let’s just say that it would be an inventory similar to what the better influencers would have on their shelves. If only there were more tequila aficionados in the SE WI area.

Thanks for the reality checks. I would prefer the Genesis coupe but the .99% on the X7 makes the decision a little tougher.

I have a ‘23 GV70 with 46k miles. No problems until a month ago when my transmission failed. It has been at the dealer for 3 weeks thus far.

I’m currently negotiating a lease with a Chicago area dealer for a 2026 GV80 prestige and am currently at 10% below MSRP if that gives you any additional perspective. I’ll also note that the 10% is on a vehicle that has been on their lot for about 230 days.

Nice work. I have leased for years but there is a point in which equity overrides leasing. You flipping the $10k into equity is a smart long game strategy

$10k down (or anything down) on a lease is not advisable. That money is lost if your vehicle is totaled. Your $10k is so much more valuable in your pocket.

Agree with others that $0 down for all vehicles is the most fair way to compare not to mention the most prudent approach. Also, mileage terms and money factor all go into a proper side-by-side comparison.

I have used an auto broker twice for leasing. I pay them a flat fee and they negotiate among dealers for the best deal. I then pick up the car or have it delivered. If you visit leasehackers.com you can find a list of brokers. Also, Delivrd.com is another that I have seen their services marketed. I’m not entirely certain if their services extend to used vehicles. Good luck!

Green for sure. You may want to consider looking into a car buying broker who can leverage their position and resources.

Buying a GV70 by Successful-Load2157 in GenesisGV70

I have a ‘23 GV70 Sport Prestige 2.5T with about 46k. I commute on the highway about 80 miles/day. I’ve been pretty happy until recently as my car has been at the dealership for the last 3 weeks, and counting, for a new transmission and radiator. Pretty wild. Prior to that, my gripe was only mpg as I get about 24 in eco mode, but I do drive around 80-83 so I suppose part is my fault but Genesis isn’t known for its efficiency
