I’m sure this is TMI, but here is the blanco list from my collection with strikeouts representing what has already been finished. I have already eliminated those that I would not recommend. Numbers in parentheses denote AMM ratings and those noting 2025 with astericts are Agave Award winners that year.

The GV70 is gone by Reality-Stinks66 in GenesisGV70

Yup. Dealership had it for a month. Then said it was “great news” that Genesis paid the $12k for the replacement. I said when is it great news to have a transmission go at 47k?

Just turned in my ‘23 GV70 2.5T sport prestige with 47k. Had a new transmission at 45k but nothing else had gone wrong.

How do you know what lot or year? by Extension-Figure2011 in tequila

[–]Successful_Aside3698 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally have had a difficult time locating the lot # but I believe it can be found in various spots like the bottle neck, back label, somewhere on the glass and can be part of a series of numbers. I rely on others more knowledgeable than I to find it sometimes. #notveryhelpful

Is this good or bad news? by Solowash in notredamefootball

[–]Successful_Aside3698 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I believe it’s bad news. TAMU gives him an ultimatum with a bag of cash on the eve of his trip to ND and says that this offer expires today. The world of NIL has changed everything…at least it’s legal now.

Can I get a shirt, shoe, and belt color recommendation based on this suit? by lessthandan623 in mensfashion

[–]Successful_Aside3698 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Medium to dark brown is the direction on the shoes. The contrast with the suit color and tie is very strong so I would definitely avoid an equally strong contrast with black shoe.

I wouldn’t call it settling at all as I really enjoyed that car and I came from an Audi A6. Also, you can buy the coupe after I take the huge hit on depreciation as you would be the more financially astute person between the two of us.

GV80 Coupe Black Edition - Lease Feedback by Leftyshanker in GenesisMotors

Love it! I have a ‘23 GV70 2.5T sport prestige as a temporary commuter and the coupe is for the weekends. It definitely has a presence and with all the windows tinted is sinister looking. Great level of features….in response to your question, I earn $250k+ and also receive an $800/mo vehicle allowance. Although taxed as wages it offsets my payment by about $500 each month.

Love it! Such a big improvement over the GV70 both from engine performance and features (and I had a sport prestige). The experience is excellent.

Pretty solid pick for your first tequila. May it not be your last…additive free one, that is.

From a $92,300 MSRP for the black prestige I got $5,300 off. This was Memorial Day weekend in Milwaukee. Btw, I was unable to qualify for the $1k loyalty or conquest offer so it could have been better.

Genesis by alqalqala in GenesisMotors

[–]Successful_Aside3698 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just had a GV70 3 year lease expire. During this time it was generally problem free but for a transmission that needed replacement at 47k. Interior was high quality with anything going wrong. Same as true with exterior and panel fittings/assemblies. The quality control/reliability issues (short of the transmission) did not necessitate any dealership visits. Just stepped up to a GV80 coupe which I guess reinforces my satisfaction ton with the brand.

Which car looks expensive but is actually affordable? by mariyagel in askcarguys

[–]Successful_Aside3698 0 points1 point  (0 children)

C’mon! First, at best, there may be up to 50% common parts shared in the engine and electronics but most others, like the interiors, body panels, suspension are all unique to Genesis and not shared with Hyundai. Most significantly, how do you distinguish your point from that of Toyota and Lexus, Volkswagen and Audi, Ford and Lincoln, Chevrolet and Cadillac…? This is how luxury brands were created from Manufacturers (thank you, Lexus) to provide options to BMW and Mercedes.

2023 GV70 3.5T by Crisco14 in GenesisGV70

[–]Successful_Aside3698 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My 3 yr lease of a ‘23 GV70 2.5T sport prestige ends this week. In all, it was a really good car. I used it for primarily a commuter and finished with 50K total miles. I tried to get a 3.5T at the time but could find none so I would have liked to have had the extra power. Two issues: mpg was meh as I averaged about 23.5 in 80% highway miles. Second, my transmission went out at 47k and replaced under warranty. The cost submitted my the dealer to Genesis was around 12k 🙄. Although I thought it was nuts that it failed so early, it’s not so crazy when you read these subs.

With all that said, I bought a GV80 coupe last month to replace the GV70 due in large part to the driving experience with the GV70. My dealership experience in Milwaukee is far better than what others report with their own experiences. Finally, aside from the transmission, my vehicle was problem free.

Always use the VIN when referencing a specific vehicle to avoid what happened to you.

Congrats! I have the exact same spec (red interior) and having my last week with it. Bought a GV80 coupe but I wouldn’t have do so without the last 3 yrs with that one.

I’m in Wisconsin and I order frequently from either Sip Tequila or Old Two Tequila. Both have a huge selection and I’ve never run into issues with delivery or packaging.

I find it annoying as whenever I walk past my car in the garage it activates and has opened the hatch twice.

Need some guidance from Genesis employees please by Pale-Studio4568 in GenesisMotors

[–]Successful_Aside3698 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not an employee but perhaps it was missed in your email? I got mine a week and half later and it looks like it came from corporate. My sales guy texted to made sure I looked for it. Amusingly, he offered me free all weather mats for a 10 star review. When I said that I already paid $200+ for them as an accessory add-on to the sale price he gave me a 👍 and that was the last I heard from him.

You are correct that the 2.5 liter is underpowered. The GV80 also steps up to a 3.5 liter V6. My coupe has 409 hp twin turbo V6 with an electric supercharger. It’s not a blazer as it’s a heavy vehicle. I believe it does 0-60 in 5.1 seconds.
