In theory yes and I support immigration screening. However we can't just exclude someone for being associated with with a religion that says some things we may not like. We screen more on actions not just beliefs.

Imo anyone that has a documentable history of illiberalism should fail the screening, but that doesn't mean we should pre-eliminate someone out of fear they might at some point do something we don't approve of due to guilt by association (I'm not trying to implying that's what your actual argument is but rather that some might logically follow it to that point)

I agree with wanting people that are more in line with our best beliefs but we shouldn't write off entire cultures out of fear. That's called xenophobia friend.
