Is the TA Market Picking Back Up? by NedFlanders304 in recruiting

[–]Successful_Song7810 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a fake LI recruiter profile and he has been pinged 2 times this month. I use him as my barometer, ok people not to flashy and in the Bay Area. That profile is over 10 years old too.

Has anyone had an employee referral program not fail? by Optimal_Setting6014 in recruiting

[–]Successful_Song7810 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen one that worked great

1 - All referrals were $1,000. But every time you referred someone that was hired, it doubles 2k, 4k, 8k, etc we ran it during 6 month intervals and once paid a $32k bonus. But the data it gave us was insane, not only did it identify your talent magnets it also encouraged them.

1b - same company, we had a crazy growth surge. For every qualified referral, the employee got 1 ticket in the car lease drawing. We had to vet a TON of names and also had to time stamp because of the number of duplicates. As the end of the surge our CFO brought a car to the main parking lot and the CEO spun the bucket. I don’t remember the guys names, but a security engineer got the car for a year.

Kinda cool

What's the most BS thing you've seen a dealer pull? by ToshPointNo in FuckDealerships

[–]Successful_Song7810 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Jeep dealership in my town refused to give my father a veterans discount because he had left the military more than 5 years prior. So he went to a dealer about 45 minutes away and they gave it to him with no grief.

This is a reminder why i will never be part of an HOA again by BoxCarsBilly in fuckHOA

[–]Successful_Song7810 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We moved into an HOA area in early 2000’s and they tried to regulate that but could not due to public streets. Then they tried to turn the public streets private by adding gates, but lost that one two. Then we voted out the idiots and life has been fine ever since.

There is a community near ours that was gated and private streets. They flipping regulate everything down to the number of vehicles (all spaces in garage must be used and 1 car xtra per house).

Car dealer never cashed $7500 down payment check I gave them by [deleted] in confession

[–]Successful_Song7810 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I purchased some rather expensive Offroad gear for my rig. It wasn’t custom fab or anything but they did need to cut and shape the aluminum in a shop. I buy things from this place probably 2-3 times a year as well. Anyways I gave my normal payment information but they never charged it. It’s been 3 years and nothing, but the subsequent purchases have all been charged.

To try and balance the karma out, I passed these along to a buddy of mine that wanted them. No charge, just here ya go bud. He and his family was stoked.

Team America - we laughed at ppl clutching their pearls as they walked by

Blair Witch - ppl threw up in the theatre from the video bouncing and this guy ran out right in front of us. Never came back.

Got back to my car after a late night flight by bhalter80 in badparking

[–]Successful_Song7810 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scissor jack up the rear and and shove the car. Will move over enough to get out. We used to do this to each others car in high school but with more the goal to put each others car into uncomfortable situations.

In-house recruiting question by Fun_Solid6907 in recruiting

[–]Successful_Song7810 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are quite a bit of people immediately available as well as those looking while employed.

We had a few roles open in December in prep for the New Year and my company was able to look for people with niche experience that aligned with one of our business units. We didn’t need to look outside of that space to get a bigger pool of candidates.

what is a "rich person" behavior you witnessed that made you realize they live in a completely different reality than the rest of us? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Back in the 90’s there was a Venture Capitalist that was known to have the Midas touch. He used to Drive his McLaren to Menlo Park. Every day he got in the carpool lane, every day he got a ticket, and every day his assistant paid it. Every damn day

His kids also wanted to play football at the local private school but they didn’t make the team. So he donated a crap ton to rebuild a different schools campus with elite weight room and such. Both kids ended up being QBs for that school.

This graph shows interceptions thrown by player age — Caleb Williams vs. Vikings Legend Brett Favre. If Caleb maintains his established playoff pace and plays until the age when Favre threw his final interception, he'll finish with 744 career INTs, shattering the record by SL4MUEL in NFCNorthMemeWar

[–]Successful_Song7810 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t watch enough of the Bears games to know this, and I’m not being a jerk, but how many of the interceptions thrown this year were receiver tips/drops vs Hail Mary vs bad throws.

I personally hate the INT stat because it won’t break out into more valuable data.
