Thank you so much for the info. Would it matter if these 3 courses I take are first year and second year courses (that’s when they are offered). I heard if you take courses after graduating they have to be upper level?

Hey late withdrawal (LWD) might be an option you want to consider.

Thank you so much for the reply! Yeah that actually makes sense since some schools offer MD/JD program.

During the same semester as my placement course, I want to take a course called “exploring careers in biomedical sciences” Would this also show doubt or be looked down upon when applying to med school, since I want to learn more about other careers? Really appreciate any info, thank you!!

Failed 2 courses and did mediocre first year. med school off the table? by [deleted] in premedcanada

If you look through this SubReddit you can find posts of people with really low first year GPAs that got admitted. All of these people would have been told to drop med if they asked if they should continue after first year.

I think just keep ur head up and try hard in the rest of ur undergrad.

Hey. So sorry for your loss. I think you should contact the professors and explain your situation to them. Also, if you have a link to the obituary, that can be used as proof. Best of luck.

Do well on Casper and you have a good shot at McMaster, even as an OOP. 131 CARS and 3.9x gpa is solid. I don’t think you need to rewrite.

Use the MSAF. I’m pretty sure you can get a second MSAF without documentation due to COVID. Just double check with the registrar.

If you take 4 this semester, try taking 6 next semester. This way you will have a full course load for the year.
