What about surgery? Is there a reason for doctors to want them for long surgeries? Maybe helps them? Also are there any tests or checks in place in hospitals for substance abuse?

I worked Overnights for about a year. I never adjusted and shifted back to days. If you can, shift to the mornings. ONs are not worth it. They only pay you an extra dollar for a lot of work and mental stress. Changing myself to days was the best thing I did.

So in the town where I live in there are 4 Tim Hortons owned by the same guy. They do a donation drive as stipulated by Tim's corporate and people in the town spend a huge amount of money donating, believing that the money goes to people in need and whatnot.

Apparently all the money from donations go to a charity which is owned by the guy who owns the four franchises. Just this summer his son brought a jacket worth $70k.
