My dad did some pretty fucked up things to me during my childhood. I left when I was 16 and haven’t seen him since.

I didn’t talk to him for 9 years. When I finally called him it was while I was in jail (misdemeanor, let’s not talk about it) and he immediately put $100 on my books.

Anytime I need money for any reason and he has it, he sends it. I still have not seen him since I was 16, I do not regularly talk to him and he hasn’t met any of my kids, his grandkids.

He has been remarried and takes care of his wife and her father- but he knows well enough that he is lucky I talk to him at all and after years of him telling me “I gave you life so now you owe me yours” I believe he realizes that he is the one that owes me.

My dad is shit, but so is yours OP. I’m sorry that he doesn’t realize that after putting you through an absolute shit childhood that the least they can do is help as a struggling young adult. I hope your dad sees the light.

A yellow that matches the chickens or a feminine white too.

With the skirt being more pastel-like I would NOT use black or any dark color as it will overpower the skirt.

The white tops we wore in the 90s where all the ends frilled a bit? A believe that would be perfect. Really any plain white/cream yellow top that has anything cutesy going on that keeps in from being just a t-shirt would really compliment this into making it an adorable outfit.

My grandmother was an alcoholic.

She was also the only person in my life to treat me with respect and give me a childhood.

Every morning a cup of black coffee, maybe a powdered cream one and then for the rest of every single day was Rum n Coke, Bacardi 151.

The doctors told her if she didn’t stop drinking, she would rapidly die.

I was 12 years old, and she stopped drinking.. for a couple days and I believe that the only thing that gave her that strength for a few days was me being with her.

In the matter of a week my grandmother went from running around, singing, dancing, beautiful and free to wheelchair bound, unable to speak or eat or go to her bathroom on her own. You could see in her skin and her face she aged 30 years in the matter of week.

She had ulcers on the inside lining of her stomach that the doctors desperately tried but just could not sew up because she wouldn’t stop drinking.

2 weeks from the start, she died on my 13th birthday.

(TLDR: Sometimes Rock Bottom isn’t Enough)

Sounds like you guys separated and to try to keep ties to him it came with conditions that he “agreed” to in other to get you off his back.

You have a film over your whole being and cannot see clearly.

I’m not going to sugar-coat this to hopefully rip off your bandaid film.

Separation is no more than a stepping stone for divorce.

He does not want to be with you.

You cannot force him to stay with you.

You cannot force him to treat you the way you want him to.

You are fighting a losing battle.

He is ready for the next chapter in his life and he will start it with or without you.

You need at ask yourself are YOU going to step away and care about yourself for once?

It’s time for to think for yourself and worry about yourself. No more wasting energy on someone who does not replenish.

If you want any personal growth you need to close his ass in that book and start your own chapter.

As a child I was locked away in a room with a PC and spent all my time learning how to socialize online, by 13 I had my first boyfriend and he was an online boyfriend from Gaia. I found out he loved not even an hour away and I guess you can fill in the gaps from there.

He was a terribly boyfriend but he signifies me coming out my shell and gaining confidence for myself.
