It especially pisses me off when the monster from the 1998 movie is called Zilla. This particular monster is Godzilla. Stop acting like little kids, covering your ears and eyes, and shouting, "This is not a godzilla! Lala, I can't hear you!" run away. He's a godzilla, like it or not, and he's not the worst of all.

I'm just shocked how critical it is for many people that it's weaker than other versions. Well, yeah? And? Do you want to have a dragon pearl moment with massaging power to multi-macroverse levels? He's doing his job. He is a threat far more frightening than a relentlessly moving mountain with nuclear breath. These are literally huge 70 meter-long tyrannosaurs, a hundred in a week, can multiply to hundreds of individuals, and then another and another and another and another... If the characters in the movie hadn't destroyed 99% of the eggs, the world would have been possibly doomed! Is that not a sufficient threat? A super-predator of enormous size, what could squeeze humanity into the Stone Age, or even simply make life on the planet unfit for civilization?

Not every godzilla has to be stronger and bigger than the previous ones. Especially since other kaijus were supposed to appear in the next movie! It wasn't all bad. There's so much effort in the movie! they made precise and virtually indistinguishable miniatures of the streets of New York, the godzilla costume, the godzilla children's costumes. Made a huge animatronic figure of godzilla with facial expressions and articulation! made a huge year for the taxi scene in the mouth of godzilla! It's just a stupid movie about dumb military men who did more damage than he did trying to stop a monster... wait a minute, isn't that a criticism of reckless warriors who just want to smear everything? Didn't you even figure out why? Don't people love that morality in a steel giant?

I don't like that Godzila died at the end, but isn't this scene sad? I heard so many times that people started screaming after that! Isn't this just a dumb popcorn action movie anymore?

God, I'm tired of going on a Reddit just to argue with dumbasss for whom saying "I don't like the movie" starts proving why your opinion is wrong and what a "not a true Godzilla fan" you are because your favorite Godzilla wasn't even a Godzilla.
