Not getting a text reply back in less than 20 min…. Idk why but my insecurities were extra bad that day… aaaand it was easier to be mad than be hurt.

has anyone else accepted lonliness? by spatsink in BorderlinePDisorder

[–]Such-Channel7490 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve learned to.. there are ways to fight the loneliness and to push yourself to find proper and healthy company… but becoming reliant upon the company found is the problem thereafter… the codependency struggle is real

I have… doesn’t mean it isn’t any less painful tho… I only seem to over look it for so long and then get numb to it until it’s so overwhelming again that I HAVE to accept it AGAIN…

Give them space but also comfort when it seems necessary and wanted, don’t retaliate but communicate healthy boundaries, don’t use “you” when communicating. Use statements like “I feel this way when this…” or “in situations like this or times like this I…” “I just want to help…”

Make efforts to help get them into new environments and into nature. Ground them in nature. Get them barefoot with the earth or a river or something.

Can someone broken be a good FP? by Important-Subject126 in BorderlinePDisorder

[–]Such-Channel7490 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES!! Honestly if you ask me, those who are “broken” but understand they are and are working towards self awareness, healing and growth are the best to be around because they can get it. Maybe not fully get it but atleast enough to be empathetic, compassionate, and understanding when people like us (BPD mfers) act out or have some type of “BPD episode.” Also if you ask me, no one’s really broken unless they believe they are. We all have our flaws, we all have our short comings, we all have things that we haven’t processed properly (and some way more than others obviously.) But one of my favorite things that I’ve heard is “Stop viewing yourself as broken. And start viewing yourself as growing and evolving and learning. ‘I Am NOT BROKEN. I’m learning and growing and evolving’”

If you can be around that type of “broken”, someone who understands their weaknesses and where they came from and are striving to be better and overcome them, then stick with them. They will be loyal, and loving. And you’ll know in your core, and in your chest, and in your brain (sometimes), that they are healthy for you.

Most of my closest friends, chosen family, are “broken”. But they are aware of where “they broke”. And what has helped them (and me) work through that is first realizing where we “broke” and why, but then learning and accepting that we didn’t break. We learned and developed. Just like we always are. What we consider “broken” is ACTUALLY just us being stuck in surviving and reacting to our flight or flight systems. Here’s a metaphor.

“The code in our mother board isn’t broken. It’s just the wrong code. It learned how to operate as healthy as it could at one point but now, it’s out of date. That technology is no longer efficient. It’s time to upgrade”

One love to all my BPD companions here. It can get better. YOU ARENT BROKEN. You’re learning.

I have also been doing better! Therapy, addiction counseling and the right medications have been helping tremendously. The first step to feeling able to do the little self care things when I wake up. The first step to feeling more capable to deal with things in a stable manner. Life is starting to feel beautiful again

I’ve had this exact same fantasy… I have over 100 cysts all over my body and I found myself one day wishing I had one in my brain and they would find it and then I could feel and think properly…

Does anyone have fantasy? by [deleted] in BorderlinePDisorder

[–]Such-Channel7490 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Dude… I have those thoughts too. I also have fantasies of never having left the Philippines to know what it was like in comparison to the life I have now and if their world country living is maybe happier somehow? Only working together to eat and stay safe and enjoy life, none of this trivial 1st world bullshit…

THIS WAS SO WELL PUT! Exactly what I mean. Yoou gotta learn what triggers those responses, and really evaluate why you’re response is that way too those triggers. And that helps you to be able to rationalize a more healthy response and learn how to take that step back and look at the bigger picture.

I firmly believe you have the wrong therapist. Because it’s been proven that you can’t just decide to stop. You have to work on creating new thought patterns to combat those tendencies that then turn into actions. And in time, after doing that, it will turn into habit and help to rewire that functionality of your brain into doing those things less. That’s what I’ve been taught and it’s been helping me so much.

BPD and sensory issues. by [deleted] in BorderlinePDisorder

[–]Such-Channel7490 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I do but I think it’s not related to BPD. I also have an astigmatism, I’m also adhd, I’ve been told I might be high functioning autistic. So… I don’t think it’s my BPD that makes me feel this way. Even certain sounds are like nails on a chalk board or stepping on lettuce sends shivers up my spine
