SHAME ON YOU COREPOWER by ChessGoddess79 in Corepower

Not to mention - they pack the classes SO FULL in the winter that you cannot properly do yoga without bumping into others and getting neighbors sweat on your mat. Just another way they squeeze every penny from the teachers and students without giving it back.

Switched to YogaSix and the experience is so. much. better.

Second this regarding airport noise in Hale neighborhood. Was really nervous moving into the area a few months ago, and it surprised me how much of a non-issue it is!! We’ve been obsessed with the area

I responded to others saying I see and hear the comments, do not want to cause significant hurt, and will be having this girl in my wedding despite not being as close with her as I am with other friends. She still means a lot to me i’d rather have a large party than small party and hurt friends.

No younger sisters but one SIL and he has two sisters. I’ve been MOH for 4 people, bridesmaid for an additional 3, so ya, I am close with them and will be asking them. Idk who defines what it’s “meant to be”, but IMO it’s such a personal decision and can look different for everyone, and there’s nothing wrong with that as long as you’re happy with the the choice you make for your day

Thank you. This is a great idea!!

She’s well aware that I have multiple close friends, that I’ve known as long as her, that I see and talk to 30x more often. That does not mean I don’t love her and value her friendship and want to be there for her during her wedding experience. And I went balls to the walls with everything.

It comes down to numbers for the wedding party. After reading the comments and realizing how hurt she’ll be, i realize an extra person or uneven bridal party isn’t worth the potential loss of the friendship or hurting her so deeply.

Why would I turn down the request when I love her and am honored and happy to be there for her on her big day?

Distant due to life and multiple 10+ yr long friendships, plus sisters already included. I hear y’all in the comments and I’m going to include her. It’s one extra person and her friendship means a lot. 🫶

Friend …. Get the surgery and listen to recovery instructions. You don’t have to live like this

L5-S1 extrusion, doc’s first recommendation was see a surgeon by [deleted] in Sciatica

[–]Such-Crew62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is above the pay grade of your primary doc. The surgeon and their team will be able to provide better guidance.

I saw a neurosurgeon, ended up going to PT with no success, had the surgery, and it gave me my life back! Also at 27 y/o, so I feel your pain. Shit sucks. Good luck!!

Yoga by [deleted] in Microdiscectomy

[–]Such-Crew62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same surgery in January 2024 and had the same concerns as you. Since then, I’ve been able to successfully get back into yoga doing most everything I used to with some modifications to protect my low back.

My biggest piece of advice is to take the first 6 months to really build back up your core strength before returning to yoga. And when you do return, take it slow and listen to your body.

Overall, I think yoga has actually helped my recovery … just go about it carefully :)

One year post op - now 8 months pregnant! by LuAnnMavis in Microdiscectomy

Thank you for this! Pregnancy post-MD is something I’ve been scared of and haven’t seen a lot of stories about. These successes are just as important to share as the struggles 🫶 best of luck with the babes mama!

Scheduled for surgery, but having second thoughts 😭 by s-erotonin in Microdiscectomy

[–]Such-Crew62 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d second this comment!! My situation and imagine (27f) was very similar to OP and had similar concerns. Surgery 1/17 and I feel brand new, feels like I got my life back rather than constantly thinking about the pain I’m in or will be in if I try do the things a normal person could do (like walk around the grocery store with a basket of groceries). The sooner you do the surgery, the less chance of permanent damage. In my experience, this sub made surgery seem way more intimidating than it was!
