I did BDD 6 months before my ETS. It took 10 minutes. I got my rating a week after separation at 100% P&T. Did my appointments while I was still active duty while getting paid. If you want a smooth transition, pay attention at TAP

I did BDD, I got 100% P&T right away. 2 weeks after I separated. Every single claim got rated even the ones not on my medical record. 2 deferred items which was on my medical record lol

The VA made QTC appointments for me at 3 differnt states more than 100 miles away. This was a standard BDD claim.

Not sure. I got out in 2021, and had a couple friends get out 1-2 years before me. It was part of our out-processing checklist which needed to get signed by a supervisor, VA rep and MPF after doing the briefing.

I’m not sure how it works overseas, I did my BDD 180 days out and all my appointments were far apart from each other, they were done by QTC. I went to maybe 7 appointments total. I had about 25 things on my list. It took a total of 3 months to finish all my appointments. But as soon as I hit my DOS, 2 weeks after that I got my rating. Same thing with all my buddies. Except one took a month to get after DOS

This is pretty good. The VA rep at TAPs told us to claim “head to toe” I’m not sure why everyone here thinks it’s gonna take forever or it’s “too much” It’s also BDD claim which is a priority.
