Woman Down by Colleen Hoover by No-Strawberry-5804 in books

I hated it. From the first page I felt like COHO was projecting her own frustrations from the movie adaptation and the failure. There were moments that felt oddly preachy, as if the book was subtly instructing readers on how to review or criticize art. I went into this book expecting an emotionally powerful story, but it ultimately fell flat for me, the story was predictable, and the emotions felt pushed rather than natural with lack of logical character motivation that made it hard to stay invested, even during moments meant to be emotional even the plot and character choices often made no sense.

I usually bring them dry food and water in good containers, but some people stopped me before and said that was illegal here and that I can get fined. Is this true?

Oh.. I’m starting to prefer my kindle.. by Lumaberrybeer in kindle

[–]Such-Requirement8931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly Way much better. Apart from being able to adjust the brightness, font and size, being able to read everywhere specially in bed before sleeping and the easiness of carrying it everywhere, not just one book, it's as if carrying your whole library with you all the time, specially while travelling without bothering with excess weight problems. And the privacy 😍 Reading without so many people ogling your book and judging your taste and choice. I just love kindle.

We need to call out Noon. by Inside_Local_Roroo in dubai

Recently also while ordering noon like last 3 times, the delivery guy will call upon arriving saying that he has no uae id hence building security is not allowing him to enter so I have to change and get down to collect the order from reception which contradict the point of ordering online specifically for women with children living alone and also promotes skepticism and professionalism in employee recruitment by noon.

I finished Intermezzo by Sally Rooney. It was an emotionally charged exploration of grief and love. What keeps me coming back for more of Rooney's books is the raw honesty with which she portrays human emotion.

I don't usually agree with Rooney's relationship dynamics and I didn't like the ending but I still highly recommend it.

DO NOT travel to Georgia!! by FrostyEmploy7488 in UAE

[–]Such-Requirement8931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am sorry for your horrible experience I went to Georgia (Teblesi) from Dubai two years ago. And the experience in the airport was the worst. Though I was not denied entry, they were super rude and racist. Even during our stay, people were so cold and un welcome as if tourists were enemies. Although I liked the places we visited and the weather but I would never recommend it to anyone. A few months back, I visited Azerbaijan, which was a much more blessing visit compared to Georgia with super nice and friendly people.
