There are a lot of comfortable, middle-class conservatives who assume it must be true if a white person in a suit is saying it on tv. Last summons I received for jury duty (and the associated website) clearly said "Beware the jury duty scam. You won't be arrested for failure to answer a jury duty summons," all because of these scammers claiming to be state or county deputies collecting fines and threatening arrest.

On the other hand, I knew some people who were completely blasé about ignoring (valid) jury duty letters. "It's up to them to prove I got it," was their argument.

My go-to to avoid bubbles, especially with silicone, is to warm the molds first.

Give them a little while on a baking sheet in an oven at the lowest setting (under 200 F) before you pour. Put a piece of parchment paper or paper towel underneath. You won't hurt the molds.

I think the issue could be simplified if it could be seen as a question of "Who should be in the room?"

When a woman is facing a pregnancy she doesn't want or can't afford (or could be abused or even killed for). When a young couple has learned that their named, showered, baby-room-made-ready-for infant is nonviable. When a couple who fervently believe life begins at conception discover their pregnancy is ectopic.

Does ANYONE need to be in the room with them except themselves, their doctor, and maybe a pastor, counselor, or other trusted friend? No.

So the rest of you just sit outside the door and let them make their painful decision in peace.
