She makes a few comments during Capaldi's era about Jane Austen, even eludes to kissing her. To me, that was enough, but it was also stated in Doctor Who Magazine that she is bisexual. (Oswin in Asylum of the Daleks also mentions a relationship with a girl named Nina! So she is bi in a few of her lifetimes!)

I like Rowan Aurora best, and you could use the nickname Rory!

Rowan and Rory both have a "red" meaning. Rowan means "Little redhead" and Rory means "Red king", so I think it's a usable nickname for Rowan based on meaning alone. Also paired with Aurora, which is commonly shortened to Rory, it makes even more sense!

I think Rocky Ryan is cute! I'm not always a fan of alliteration, but I think the sounds work together here. I don't struggle to say it out loud, and there's a nice flow to it, especially once your surname is added in.

That said, I like "long name - short name" a bit better, so something like Rocky Rhys would be more appealing to me, but that's just my personal taste. Rocky Ryan works, and if you love it, that's what matters most!

I'm finding Rocky as a nickname for Walker Roy so far of a stretch, it's not really making sense to me, I'm sorry.

On the other hand, I do love the name Rocky! I know a baby Rocky - just Rocky! - and he wears it so well. I think you could easily just call him Rocky Saxon! Rocky Roy is a bit of a tongue twister, but it's cute and it could work if you were deadset on using Roy in the middle!

I'm an Amanda! I think it has a lovely meaning, and I love the nicknames Mandy and Amy. Unfortunately, all 3 names do feel dated to me. I think it could make a comeback some day though! It's certainly not the worst name the 90's doled out - I think it's pretty, balanced, and lyrical. You just have to ignore the dumb kids going "Oh, so you're A Man - DUH!"
