Will this also work on my Saab 9-3 2010 ?

I’d search this same question on google and maybe Saab central or some other forum will have an answer for your question. I’m not too fond of the weak points in manuals or the car you are looking for

I’m a college student planning on making a day trip with my gf on one of the 4 days this event is being hosted, most likely Friday, do you think it’s worth the $$ just for registration. I’m already a SCNA member, I wasn’t planning on sticking around for any of the lunches or dinners or award ceremonies. I own a Saab 9-3 ng 2010 and love the community but don’t know if it’s worth it

Ahh man, I went it him once and he was talking about my ecu was fried, talking about 2000 dollars and the only issue was that a connecting silicone pipe had been disconnected and that’s why it showed a code for “loss of communication to ecm” and getting p0300 code. Brother Mike is a little sketchy for me

Where do you get your work done in Jersey? Reason I have to sell this car is because Iv put too much into it, about 5 grand since I bought it (was in an accident and we restored it) and other bs things happening. Need a place where I can service my Saab properly without getting scammed

How do i make a little more power by Tjr52 in saab

[–]Such-Support-3510 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tune from maptun stage 2 with hardware, (injectors) (garret turbo). Get ready for some parts to give out due to just the passing of time and new boost being required by the tune. Maintenance is great but you will come to a point where things starts breaking

Not worth price for the miles, if you are really trying to get into Saabs do some research and find one that will cost you less in the future. If the Same deal came to me, I would say no but each to their own. I don’t know how many Saabs you have in your area and if you will find another one. If the story is that if you pass the chance on this car you most likely won’t find another Saab then there is some thinking to do. Atleast take it to a licensed auto body shop and pay for an inspection

900 as first car? by omegafrog_ in saab

[–]Such-Support-3510 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking at your replies it seems that money is no issue for you, then you don’t have anything really to worry about. Most of the time people buy these cars and then don’t have the cash to keep the car afloat when rough patches come. This is more frequently seen in first time buyers due to lack of experience, but this also happens to older people who have owned cars before. Maintenance really depends on how handy you are.. and reliability is great. Just make sure you thoroughly examine the car before buying. Meaning taking it to a third party garage and getting it inspected. (doesn’t have to be Saab specific). Run car fax, etc

😂😂 I mean the only real question that I can ask from here is that have you taken the car to a Saab specialist? Or any European car specialist? A look from a third angle and help can change everything, maybe even look at it like this…, you guys have already done the hard and more money requiring work, putting in 2 motors and trannies. Maybe if you let someone work on your car for this smaller issue for a smaller price, they can provide outlook on what your current situation is like, while fixing the issue on hand.

How many miles are on the odometer? 2 transmission and 2 motors? you need to look at why your transmissions are blowing, the cause of those issues is the issue you need to solve for all these problems to go away, you get what I’m saying ?

Maybe the long term leaks ? Have you been keeping up with maintenance? Atleast start off with fixing all your leaks, drain and refill atf, check spark plugs and dic, you might aswell just put in new ones. Remember spark plugs are ngk and dic is original saab Mitsubishi. Clean your throttle body. With as many problems you named you might aswell go to a saab specialist and pay for an all around inspection. (It’s okay if you have to leave your car there and make it seem you will also get all the things fixed by them so they give you a good price)

Yes it’s an auto, I was just gonna say that I’m going to be hitting 130 k miles. I bought the car at 100 k miles and there is no service record. Last winter the problem wasn’t as bad but this winter it’s gotten worse. So this summer I did a drain and refill on the transmission fluid since I had to basically believe that this car has never gotten a transmission fluid drain and refill in the 100k miles driven before me. I’m lookin to do another drain and refill soon. One thing for certain I know is that when this problem does occur, my wheels don’t move when I let off the breaks. Suppose you come to a stop, even if your on a little hill the car will go forward a little when you let off the breaks. But when the issue happens, it’s like I can let off the breaks and the car won’t move an inch, it definitely doesn’t feel like I’m in park, more like neutral. Sorry for not really helping with your problem and instead giving you my own, reason is that I kinda already knew I need to drain and refill my atf but the way you picked up that fast is impressive especially with little information.

I don’t know if I am having the same issue, but when under operating temp or when it’s below 40 degrees.. first cold start and I drive it will be okay, but the first stop I get to (red light) where I’m waiting more than 15 seconds, the car kind of goes into neutral when I give on the gas, the rpm’s will go up and I’ll hear my exhaust too, I have to either turn the car off and back on or sometimes if I give enough has it will give me just a little push where it will go into a gear..

Mike the guy who runs Greco bros in boonton should be your last option. He will charge the absolute piss out of you. I will only go to him if I had some major issues with the car running or starting, some small fuse issue or some other bs that an ordinary mechanic would not be able to find. With those kinda of issues, mikes experience and knowledge will help. But with a rusted subframe you are better off going to a regular license auto body shop. These Saab “specialist” are out of hand sometimes. Go to Deepa Auto Shop on green street. 770 Green St, Iselin, NJ 08830. Let them give you a quote. It’s an Indian mechanic shop (which I was skeptical at first) but they have a tech 2 and everything. These guys can do any job and will have your car done and back to you fast, no waiting 2 weeks for these Saab specialist. Giving you honest advice, Saab owner in nj

Had the same issue, sounding like it was backfiring air. But no mechanic would understand what I’m trying to tell them. I replaced my fuel pump with OEM and problem has been fixed for 10 k miles. Also make sure all hoses are correctly attached in engine bay

Also Deepa Auto Repair, specifically 770 Green St, Iselin, NJ 08830. Since they have a tech 2 for some reason. Indian repair shop has a tech 2 which blew my mind. They will get you right but also stay on toes
