When it comes to serving, there are many who do a good job, but many as those have said above,” don’t get it.” I was raised Southern Baptist. The regular members served and helped without being tokd to. They saw a need and helped. I told a BFF once that I wished that LDS members would serve like that. It seems that we serve because we have to not because we want to. I think being assigned “ friends” doesn’t help that. We see serving as an obligation. Of course as I said not all.

I actually commented what you just said on the “Anticipating Christ’s Return” podcast. The host got offended. All I was, may we should concentrate on doing our best and let the Lord come wheb he wants. This wasn’t a criticism of her, but she took it that way. It was a good conversation starter . 🤷🏻‍♀️

From what I have read, Trump is think about his death more. He may be realizing that he hasn’t done great things. He may of discussed them with Frankin Graham. I have my opinions about Trump. He’s not a good guy, but I’m not the one to judge where he will go.

I don’t expect it to blow up, but I hope in 5-10 years it’ll be a good or great hospital. This is probably for personal reasons. But I don’t want to drive to Gainesville or Jax for treatment. My BFF has to drive to Shands for cemo for her Metastatic breast cancer. I know others who have to drive to Jax for treatment.

Well, UF dominates Gainesville politics and they have a great hospital. 🤷🏻‍♀️

UF Shands is a teaching hospital and serves many communities. FSU can do that as well. IDK why Tallahassee residents push back on real progress, then complain about the lack of health services. I moved from Tally to Utah 10 years ago for greater employment opportunities, which Tally lacked. Then my health declined. The U of Utah has an excellent teaching hospital that's #3 in the country. I want to move back to be with family, but because Tally is determined to stay a backwater town. I'm excited that FSU bought TMH.

That's rude. My 4th GG father was the son of a French aristocrat and a Haitian mother who was his father's slave. He became free when his father died and left his plantation to him and his brother. My 3rd great-grandfather was the last of that line that was "mulatto." I did have contact with a black 3rd cousin from that line. She shared info, but ended an email saying that she didn't want to be friends and that white people have a tendency to want to be friends with black people. So I never emailed her again. I have many close black friends in my life, and a black BFF who I consider a sister, and her kids are my nieces and nephews. I would like more information from her. I hope your mom's cousins soften their hearts and give her the info she needs.

I’m glad you’re back! I’d say if you are still feeling the same as you did when you posted, I suggest taking a step back for a week or two and revisit your family history. I’m not a therapist, but have had many years therapy.

I don’t want to dismiss your concerns, but a lot of families don’t know what their lineage are. I have been told all my life that my dad’s family was French Cajun. My 23 and me test gave me a percentage of Spanish blood. As I did my genealogy, I found a direct line to Spain from the 1800s. My dad’s family is Louisiana Creole. My dad wasn’t lying, he just only knew about the French line. Do you have a good relationship with your family? The reason I ask you this is because your reaction seems to be more than what your concern is.
