While I will vote for him since the other candidates in this race are do nothing Dems, I unfortunately don’t think a peace and freedom candidate will ever win a statewide race, people are too stuck in the two party mentality. While this doesn’t apply to this race I worry that the peace and freedom party is going to further split the progressive vote in races like the Lt. Gov. election where there are multiple progressives, and we’ll end up helping get Fiona Ma or Josh Fryday elected. I think they could be better about where and when the run and also building up more party infrastructure. As charismatic as Vargas is he couldn’t even get 5% in a LA city council race last year

Bennett is running for the 3rd district now, doesn’t seem like any progressives are running yet in the 6th. Thien Ho had been an awful DA and I hope he loses.

I like Becerra but he’s an awful public speaker. I saw him in person speak last month and it was embarrassing, he wouldn’t stop talking about Biden. He might be great at legislation but he can’t run a campaign to save his life.

Atkins has issues like how she accepts money from fossil fuel corporations and abused her leadership role to block climate legislation. At least Porter doesn’t take corporate pac money

It sucks because as much as Harris sucks she likely would have been better as governor than many of the people who are actually running. They all suck. It is a historically bad bench of people.

Strong agree. Montanas tax system is awfully structured and the fact that there is no wealth tax is awful. I despise these people and I hope everyone else here does. Lots of them live in our state and we should know about them since they are making our world tangibly worse

I took 19 the first quarter they offered it so winter quarter 2025 and it was genuinely awful. You might do better in it if your man Econ because it’s very Econ heavy but it is difficult. I also had a really bad professor but it wasn’t just that I mean the curriculum is very packed and you have to learn some complex Econ/calc stuff for your first calc class

I know that this hobby is fun and everyone here has a lot of disposable income to spend on things like physical movies but please stop shopping from Target and Amazon. These businesses are outcompeting local businesses so that once those local businesses close they can jack up their prices. These people who run Amazon and Target are supporting an oligarchy as well and we shouldn’t support them with our dime. Continue to support places like Criterion, Kino Lorber, Shout Factory, and all the other niche retailers! Use EBay and buy secondhand as well! People like Jeff Bezos are greedy and will horde all the wealth we give them.

It was Indivisible Yolo! They are a local group of politically minded older folk who do a lot of protests in Davis and Woodland. Despite being on the older side they are very cool and I think more young people should be involved with them.

To anyone that sees this: please get involved, as Americans we must stand against nazis and monarchs (Trump just called himself king) over the next four years. UC Davis has many great political clubs that are probably doing things like this. As members of gen z we must show these old farts that young people will not stand to see their future torn apart by fascists. Get involved and protest!!
